  • I really doubt she misheard it, the whole stadium was chanting it, she just couldn't repeat "fuck joe biden" on the news when they asked what they were chanting.

  • Valve is a fucking case study on how to run a business in a capitalist system without capitulating to the system of shareholder controlled enshitification. Imagine how different the country would be if even 20% of our large companies had a similar buiness model.

  • Ive been daily driving pop_os for a few months now and im never going back. I have a few friends very clearly curious asking me questions about usability and stuff, might convince them to dual boot at some point to test the waters so to speak.

#1 concern I hear from my circle is video game compatability, to which I saw ive not experienced many issues (and 0 that i couldnt fix) but i dont play modern triple A garbage notorious for issues on all systems, and at the end of the day if gamers never move to linux then support for it wont improve.

  • on the tailend of a convo in in a discord recently I added a command to the "customize chatgpt" section to allow chatgpt to have a custom "man" like command similar to linux, but that works for all code or commands.

This makes chatgpt give me a Linux command or code snippet formated in a table explaining what each piece of the command does.

when a prompt is givin beginning with the word man followed by code or commands please respond with a table following these rules and nothing else: skip title row, No backticks around command components, No unnecessary rows, column 1 should contain the command component, column 2 should contain a brief command description

  • Nom nom

  • Yeah the worst part about mnemonics like this is that its easy to think to yourself "crap, does the crocodile eat the bigger number or the smaller number?"

Never been a fan of mnemonics that can be easily flipped because my brain loves to troll me. When I noticed/heard larger side larger number, this was the only way I ever saw it again.

  • So as someone who grew up playing sonic on gensis, he seems to be preety damn good underwater and spends alot of time there lol.

  • Hence why I said "in the US" genius...

  • Those are fairy tail words in the US

  • Don't worry, windows is doing more work towards making Linux the new ubiquitous os than anyone currently

  • I remember when I figured out the kazooie dragon permeant transform area my jaw was on the floor lol!

  • I once got 100% in banjo tooie without the Internet or a game guide. I'm kind of a big deal.

  • I'm sure that the younger generations were complaining right before the fall of Rome too, they needed to get over it, what a bunch of losers.

  • This is the best answer ive seen thus far. Ive just being saying all sources reporting he isn't being paid are sourcing their info from a game of telephone origination from articles speculating he might not be paid. This is much better written though thanks!

  • bean counters middle managers who are ordered by middle managers shareholders to prioritize short term profits over all other considerations.

  • In the long term is will fuck over their ability to hack stuff. You're essentially ruining people's ability to develop talent at tech. Even if u want to train them in it as military, it would be new to them.

  • If the shareholders are Hitler goebles etc, ceos are high ranking generals, ss leaders, etc. it's fair game .but agreed, target selection could be improved.

  • So If i am understanding correctly. You want to use bots to spread propaganda to influence politics? The problem is that congress is going to vote how their donors tell them to vote, they don't give a fuck what their voter base wants. You would also be competing against exactly what you are suggesting, giant capitalist media companies, and bot armies from hostile nation states. You just cant compete with their resources in spreading propaganda.

  • How can they get elected? If the party is in the actual interest of American society then all of the money will be stacked up in opposition to them.

  • Yeah I know what I said, as I was the one who said it, but since subtlety is clearly lost on you... Corruption through capitalist money has captured the government. Nothing is going to change in America without a revolution, otherwise we will continue to barrel fullsteam towards global financial collapse, or world war. If you're interested please shoot me any way you think the system can be fixed without some sort of large violent upheaval and ill described 3 ways in which the system is already securely rigged against it. Ill give you reason #1 as a freebie since it applies to any route you may suggest: they have become way too good at pitting us against each other over wedge issues about shit that doesn't affect us, so we just accept voting for things based on social issues, and as such we can never vote on real issues.

  • Stop thinking about con vs lib, that's step 1. Its the 99 against the 1. The more you discuss liberal this, conservative that, the more divided we are, the less we can actually affect change.
