  • Pretty much. Both sides go back and forth.

If you never been in jury duty, both sides look at the selected jurors (sometimes 20-40 ppl) and their goal is to shave it to a smaller number, like 12.

Wear gauges? Have purple hair? Be a person of color?

If you don't fit a specific profile to help them win... You're gone.

During one of the selected cases where I was part of being selected, they absolutely asked you questions about your job and family, to get a sense of your background.

  • As a person on a jury, I was kicked off as the only person of color. No questions went my way. I just sat there and 3 hours later, I wasn't part of it.

We all can make assumptions that maybe because I match the skin tone of the defendant, and all three police officers were white, and it was post-BLM. But they absolutely won't say that. And why would they?

  • This one is hard. I'm thinking of a bunch of survival games.

I think the Far Cry/assassins creed games also have you kill a bunch of animals to upgrade your clothes. Like Kill 12 endangered whales to hold 2 more revolver rounds or something ridiculous.

  • This is a really great topic! I've been puzzling over ideas for years but havent committed for a walk based games.

I'm in the same boat. I get bored very easily and want more minor gamification in walking.

Right now, it's just me walking while listening to audio books, and marking those books down.

  • If it looks extremely questionable, like you're a life coach in Alabama and made 380k, it'll raise a lot of flags.

    • Do you have a paper trail?
    • who pays for life coaching in cash? And 100% of customers?
    • Life coaching in Alabama and you made that much? " Is there also some business presence like a website?

There's more things to consider. I say that as a person who has to set up my own company to protect myself when I got freelance clients, and complicated the hell out of my taxes.

  • I loved getting up in the morning to work out. I felt like I was alone.

What I didn't like was that feeling was only for a few minutes, as I joined the 100+ other morning runners who also woke up early to be alone.

  • Thanks for sharing that. My job set up NextCloud for cloud sharing and I thought it was pretty cool. Tried to set it up at home for sharing on a home network with my family and felt really confused. Every week there was a new problem that I had to solve and ended up going back just network drives and sharing.
