  • For me it's hard to consider discovery as even star trek. It was like a weird cartoon where half of the time was spent on plot holes and half of the time on people asking other people how they feel. It was like most modern shows that are made for people watching it while doomscroling on their phones. Except for discoverys aspect for care for mental health, I really don't understand what it was about. The characters were always acting so illogical and weird. Maybe it's again time to make a Star Trek show that is about modern problems that are solved with wit and diplomacy, a show thats not going to always try to 1-up itself and become a bizzare comedy because of it.

  • Honestly, affinity is just a company. They will make a Linux version if it makes business sense for them and it won't. Adobe is far ahead in almost every way. Their software is competing in the market of amateurs. And for an amateur, it should make more sense to pick up Gimp, inkspace. Affinity publisher is ok, but pros will have adobe and for anything less inkspace or figma free tier is good enough. Affinity has no market.

  • At first I thought this tactic with this deal would be fantastic. The US could make this deal and bring in companies and have forces there to defend the investment. It would be a really strong showing, not only to Russia but also domestic audience, but not directly.

Too bad its just a dumbass Trump tactic.

  • I don't understand this. It's really unlikely Ukraine has so many mineral resources and even if they do, the investments needed to extract them would be huge. Wouldn't the investments alone and manpower needed be worth it for Ukraine. It's not really likely that Ukraine will be able to finance this extraction themselves?

All this assumptions rely on how I understand this deal to be structured, but I really don't know how this works.

  • What if these traps would be generated everywhere. If each site had one. You could not train a model anymore, and except from intensely curated content. That would be interesting.

  • I didn't know I was insulting you. I was insulting a cowards premise. If you recognize yourself in this, it's not an insult, but a recognition of your character.

If Ukraine surrenders with the concessions that Putin wants they are destroyed. If I attack you and tell you I will stop if you give me everything, plus you can't call for help, then that means you are mine. You will retain nothing. You will be under my complete control. Now and in the future. You are finished.

You know, you can also support cancer research and not be a doctor, just like having a brain doesn’t require you to use it, apparently, unfortunately.

I don't want to interact with people like yourself, bye.

  • Russia is not making advances right now. It has hardly taken any significant land in the last year. At significant cost both in lives and material.

Ukraine has received 30 year old weapons headed for expensive decommission. Americans counted those like they are new.

Us and America have barely increased their defense budgets. Russia is in full war economy and barely making any progress.

Russia can lose. It has lost in the past. Every country can lose and did. The notion that this autocratic corrupt country without any real economy, any real local product besides fossil fuels cannot lose is bizarre and totally insane. They cant even build their own modern army, because it relies too much on parts from the west.

You are very disingenuous with your comments. So I will end it here. I suspect you might be some kind of troll or tankie.

  • That's a very stupid premise. You think Ukraine should surrender now only to be surely destroyed later. You think that is preferable to fighting for their freedom.

I don't know what kind of coward thinks in such terms. No offense.
