  • I wonder how valuable that data even is, or to who. I figure the data consists of accumulated cleaning time, location, surface area which could be used to extrapolate some socio economic stats and offer insight how to best market these devices. And also technical data about the devices. Both of which I'd wager are probably useful to companies in the same business.

We'll see who buys them in a year :D

  • Regarding the lack of romance mechanics, it just seems like they dont know how do romance then? Why would a character have to suddenly become a "yes man" once romanced? In any case, does the game really need such mechanics to begin with?

I havent played it but from what I've seen, it looks like an action RPG - action first with some rpg mechanics. This is a safe genre to invest in, especially to offer on a subscription service because it is casual friendly. The drawback being it polarizes the more hardcore crowd and leaves them wanting more.

  • Doesn't help that I don't know what this "AI" is supposed to be doing on my phone.
Touch up a few photos on my phone? Ok go ahead, ill turn it off when I want a pure photography experience (or use a DSLR).
Text prediction? Yeah why not.. I mean, is it the little things like that?
So it feels like either these companies dont know how to use "AI" or they dont know how to market it... or more likely they know one way to market it and the marketing department is driving the development. Im sure theres good uses but it seems like they dont want to put in the work and just give us useless ones.

  • Devils advocate time: Windows does this because users are stupid and will never update their PCs if they don't have to. I've met too many people who never update their tech. Operating systems and the software they run is far too complex to be 100% secure so we mitigate that by updates. They are a necessity. The vulnerability responsible for EternalBlue was patched and pushed with a windows update before the ransomware attack, how many users ignored it? Windows is so annoying with its updates because it has to be.

  • I see the specific hate this game is getting is directed towards it not being enough of an RPG... even though it's supposed to be an action RPG. Meaning light on rpg, focused on action. So it's it people wishing this game was something is not?

Also, looks like someone is abusing sponsor skip on this video.

  • Or LED's in modern electronics. I have a wine fridge that insists on telling me its temperature in the brightest possible blue segmented display. And apparently, I must be informed of the temperature at all times because I cant turn it off. Blue LED on the subwoofer brighter than the sun. I had to put a yoshi plushy infront of it to block the light. Wireless phone charger next to my bed... you bet that puppy needs a bright ass light to light up my sleeping area... FUCK! Electrical tape is my best friend today, I use it to cover up any of these stupid LEDs now.

  • Imo too high power consumption for 24/7 operation so I wouldn't use it that way. If I only had this machine to work with, i'd probably use it as a media server or NAS but turn it on only as needed. Wake on LAN to turn it on and configure it to auto turn off.
