  • It depends.

My coworkers write me "hi, do you have 5 min?" without telling me what it is because they know I would drop what I'm doing and directly focus on the new task. (It's how I am, and they know how to deal with it). With a little hi... they give me the option to say "sure, lets talk in 10 min" and finish what I'm doing.

  • I know that's not what this comment section is meant for, but here we go:

I was kinda addicted (wrong word; but I don't know a better one) to q-tips to the point I had (and still have) occasionally infections in my ears.

Many doctors just gave me antibiotic eardrops, which didn't help for longer than a few weeks, and only reactively

Finally one doctor gave me an ear-spray; based on vinegar, alcohol and eucalyptus (iirc) that I now use after every shower/bath and it worked wonders as I somehow almost never felt the need to use a q-tip again.

So if you do way too much q-tips, maybe ask your doctor if he kan recommend one to you.

  • As a former fan of ulefones:

They're great as long as they work, but I already had two ulefones where something broke internally physically and the IR-blaster blasted non-stop, even after the phone was off. Never had other significant problems, tho.

  • I'm far from a weapon expert, never held a real firearm in my life, but 9mm bullets are a thing, no?

I'm fairly sure there will be a lot inch-based calibers as well; but one of the most known calibers has mm literally in the name.

(and I know there are e.g. the .50 Magnum appearing in many movies/games; which is based on inch; but I would say less iconic than a 9mm; at least in the kind of movies and games I grew up with)

  • And (afaik) with the executors mental health in mind as well.

e.g. if you just crush a head with a stone you will know you did it.

If two others and you have to push a button you can tell yourself that it's more probable you didn't kill somebody than that you did.

  • Depends on your region and use-cases.

As fellow german I luckily have an answer for smaller projects, where my non-techy mother-in-law hosts her own business wordpress since years without any issues. It's just a simple webhoster with ssh-login.

    https://uberspace.de/de/

Best thing: it's pay-what-you-want. My first projects were 1€/mo because i was broke; nowadays I voluntary pay a bit more.

  • 2FA is just a second password and has nothing to do with encryption. Can simply be removed.

They could bypass this authentication without problems, if they want. I lost my phone and my google business account got restored regardless of 2FA. It's just a button for the support. The problem is the identification, especially of private customers (dunno if they would even do that).

Encryption passwords aren't time-based either, they must be static.

  • Every now and then is every 90 days.

I see he is using a simple Self-signed one; they're often quite easy to automate. While just tangential to my proficiency I could have a quick chat with him and then throw the appropriate tutorials for the specific hosting solution (and a helping hand, if needed) at him to never have to renew it manually again.

  • I have to admit I use mostly Ubuntu and Mint;

the only drivers I had to install (successfully) were ethernet and wifi drivers on laptops. (luckily bluetooth and usb-tethering always works.

The only driver I never managed to install is the fingerprint reader. But who can expect that a Dell Laptop for 5k€ that is sold by dell with a linux-option has linux drivers for all of the hardware...

  • Because he's legally innocent until proven otherwise and therefore has not forfeit his eligibility yet.

There is a legal process, and it should be followed.

Just because many people think he is guilty doesn't mean that the normal juristical procesd can be skipped.

He will lose eligibility early enough (i hope)
