Hmm my Synology NAS is called Syn, I need to find a more appropriate name for it.

  • Exactly so let's say in the future you get a 3d model from an AI. You put a human to work on it 2-3 hours, change some things around and then you can copyright it.

  • I haven't done that, went with the nuclear option and wiped Debian :).

  • Thanks for your reply, could have done that. I switched back to Opensuse because it worked before and works now. Will keep in mind if I ever install Debian again.

  • Actually It's a good point, yes it was enabled. It worked a few hours before on Leap 15.3. So far it works only on Opensuse, that's why I wondered why.

  • I haven't, wouldn't that be if I wanted to wake it via the network? On Debian and other distros when I pressed keys on the keyboard, it tried to wake from sleep but it didn't actually turn on or had any image.

  • When I added the contact form on my website, I wanted to add reCaptcha so it would protect me from spam emails and make it easier for people by not having to click on pictures of fire hydrants. Reading a little about the privacy concerns about reCaptcha, I dropped it all together. I am in the EU, have a small numbers of visitors, it'a B2B thing so it was not worth it.

  • I have been looking at it since I am fed up with Fire TV. Can you install it on any Linux distro? I thought it was for raspberry pi. I have an Intel Nuc running Opensuse

  • Many years ago when Linus started to aggressively use clickbait titles and thumbnails, people were pissed at the beginning but he said something like, Youtube is forcing them to do it...yeah right. That's kinda when I stopped watching them, I wasn't a big fan before anyway.

Besides the cooler block part, the most annoying one is that if you invest in companies, good for you but maybe at that point you should stop reviewing their products. You are not in a place where you can be objective anymore. They did that with Framework and I think he also has shares in AMD? He kept pumping them some time ago.

I see the vast majority of comments on the video are "ehhh, I watch them for entertainment". I don't find them at all entertaining and I actively avoid their channels because 99% of the time, the information presented is very generic or has nothing to do with the product. Plus the atrocious thumbnails/titles....

  • Wow this is invaluable, I would love to do that and contact you. I am in a busy period so that's why it took longer to respond. I will most likely make the changes in 1-2 weeks. Is it ok if I DM you in 2 weeks or whenever I made the changes? Thanks!

  • Same, I'm ok with a subscription but I would want it like Sync for Reddit where I pay 5-6-7€ to remove the ads and the rest can stay on Ultra.

Edit: Also the per vendor "legitimate interest" toggle without the option to decline all at once is pretty scummy and also illegal.

  • Thanks so much! Well after a few days, I think that person lied to me and I don't think anything landed in his spam. I think it was his way of getting out of something. Anyway should I also go ahead and do a DMARC record or is SPF and DKIM enough?

  • I like the UI so much more than the standard Lemmy. This should be the default UI. Hopefully he makes a light version.

  • Next to the edit tab is the Fusion tab in Davinci :), that's your AE replacement.

  • Wow! Thanks so much for the detailed response. I remember I tried mail-tester some time ago, I tried it now it gave me a 7.9/10

  • To be honest if this was released on 1st of April, it would have been a perfect prank. I don't think it's realistic the buy once, own forever approach if you don't have any other source of income. Like Blackmagic has with their hardware so they can afford to do a buy once type of deal with Davinci Resolve.

A more realistic approach would be like Affinity where you buy every major release, every 3-4-5 years.

Even if I agree with him 100% and I switched to Davinci/Affinity, the whole branding and naming feels like a well made shitpost and I cannot take it seriously.

  • I am my own admin, running my small business so I am user/admin/spam receiver :). I might stick with Outlook for business for the moment. Don't want to mess around. For private use, Thunderbird is chef's kiss .

  • Can you elaborate more on the add-on, what's it called? I just started using Thunderbird again but at the moment only for my personal addresses.
