  • While I admit that I don't know the intricacies of Spacey's case and all of his accusers, yes, if we can't 100% be sure that he is guilty, I would abstain from canceling just because it's trendy now. I know, rage baiting is the most effective tool these days.

There are monsters out there that take advantage of people in lower positions but there are also people that are innocent but because somebody is either jealous or wants to cause havoc, they get "canceled" for life.

I guess I am more cynical when it comes to things like this because I know a case(good friend) where a guy's life was practically destroyed by a vengeful ex-girlfriend/co-worker.

  • But nobody waited for the verdict, they canceled him to the end of the galaxy and the internet told me he was guilty. Would an "Oops, sorry" be enough until the next stampede?

  • I've done the exact same thing on 2 accounts. There was some good information on them but now it's a bunch of gibberish.

  • I hate Musk as much as the next person but this guy seems to be out of touch with reality and just says words to make himself look like a keyboard warrior. Take a chill pill my dude, why so angry?

  • It's not really like that, if it's toxic, advertisers don't want to associate their brand with it. Look at how many videos on youtube got demonetized.

  • Who made the study? It's unknown? Let's put an X next to the unknown :)

  • Maybe for gaming but for my work that would be impossible.

  • I don't know that's how Pop OS configured it. I gave it the entire drive and it made the partitions and everything.

  • So they finally did it? Last time they wanted to increase the Xbox live price, people went crazy. Now they rename it and throw some games you might never play and raise the price to 10€.

That's a lot. Imagine how gamepass will look like in ~5years if it becomes really big. Sold my Series X some weeks ago since I was never using it. I was almost exclusively playing on my PC.

  • Same with r/antiwork they closed briefly and when Reddit sneezed their way, they opened the sub instantly. Talking about hypocrisy.

  • The change will come once people start searching for stuff on Google and they get results which link back to lemmy. For that to happen we need people asking for help/feedback and getting their answers here.

  • I stopped watching that after the first 2?

  • I'm ok with them. What really bores me in movies are the fighting scenes near the end of the movie, when they encounter the bad guys. They share fists in each other's faces for a good 10 minutes until one of them decides to go down. I usually skip forward. 1 minute fight scenes should be enough.

  • Ok but first like and share my comment. Of course gold will also be appreciated!

  • Thanks captain!

  • Op you need to explain what you mean. I am out of the loop.
