  • It's almost like the entire thing is some sort of scam to trick us into thinking that feelings of injustice is a sickness or something. Like someone somewhere would rather us just be okay with bad things happening around us to the point where they'd spend a significant amount of effort pushing pharmaceuticals and illicit substances to replace the chemicals we produce naturally when things are going well.

I know that sounds crazy, but that's just how it seems sometimes. It's really weird.

I mean, it's not like they're keeping track of people who have these disorders or anything.

    LOOKS AT U.S. GOVERNMENT

I mean, why would they do that?

    LOOKS AT ALCATRAZ

    I'm sure it's fine, haha

  • Sounds super healthy! :-D

Can I give you money now?

  • And she'd say back, "Don't wanna argue, I don't wanna debate; don't wanna hear about what kinda food you hate. You won't get no dessert 'til you clean off your plate, so eat it."

  • My mom always said "You just wait until your father gets home."

  • So does shitting in a hole in the ground.

I don't know what I mean by this; I just let the universe guide my fingers when I'm on here.

  • I didn't even look at that part of the card, and was superbly confused for a moment. Even tried translating the words to see wtf you were talking about.

I thought you were either being literal, or making some deep comment about, I dunno, resistance to learning a language and the weakness of my understanding or something. lol

  • Reminds me of that time several years ago when everyone was obsessed with how some celebrity's knees looked like babies' faces. I think it was Taylor Swift?

  • Every time I think I'm going to have to unironically learn German, an angel appears. Danke.

  • Mine just said, "You're right, but thinking about it isn't helping."

I countered with, "People not thinking about it is why we're here."

    They replied with, "Yeah, probably."

    "So what do I do?"

    "What can one man do?"

"That's what I'm paying you for. What can I do?"

"🤷‍♂️ Maybe stop listening to Democrats."

    Fucking hate Kentucky.

Also, I filed a complaint and didn't go back; their practice is now closed, but I don't know if it's just because they moved to a different location or if they genuinely had to stop practicing. Haven't really thought about it much.

  • Not entirely, no. Pretty sure he just spent too many years doing tech service and listening to Pink Floyd and Weird Al.

  • You'd probably like my buddy Jerry

Edit: just to clarify, Jerry does not have Down syndrome.

  • It doesn't matter at all, my man. Perception is subjective, and based on experience. I happen to have had bad experiences, so my perception tends to be negative.

I know for a fact that I've been creepy before and probably will be again, but the truth is that I'm just blindly flailing about and trying to grab any bit of acceptance that I can grasp. Sometimes that means hanging out with kids who admire you. Sometimes it means latching on to people who couldn't give less of a shit about you. Sometimes it means nothing at all, because at the end of the day that's what we all are - nothing. So who am I to downtalk your buddy?

Anyways, I'm sorry for shitting on your mentor; I was just making semi-humorous observational remarks. Also I don't have a lot of love in my heart right now. Kinda jealous of suicidal people, and ignorant people, and people with Down syndrome.

  • They truly were.

But, adding that he was from church doesn't do anything to make him seem less creepy in my opinion, lol. And I was raised Baptist, so it's not like I'm just ignorant of church folk - I know Catholics, Pentecostals, Jews, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Snake Handlers, and Atheists.

The whole image of a late-20s guy in a lowered f150 full of subwoofers hanging out with drunk teens just doesn't look great, regardless of denomination, y'know?

But again, maybe my perception is skewed by my own experiences with older people taking advantage of younger people. Maybe there's one good dude and it's your Brian. Maybe he just had the mentality of a teen. Who knows 🤷‍♂️

  • I have a good friend named Brian, but my name is Tim.

28 seems a little old to be hanging out with teens, but I married a 27y/o when I was 17 so what do I know?

    I do like subwoofers.

  • At least you're actually old. I got this name from some 18-year-olds that I used to play Modern Warfare with when I was 21 :-/

  • Confiscated? Do they mean "left there by all the Nazis"?

  • Setting time limits is smart. Now you've GOT to get married and have a kid within the next couple of years. Smart.
