There's currently about 600 lemmy instances, in many different countries, and those countries each have different laws regarding the protection of speech. Some of it is also just power-tripping mods or left-wing / right-wing censorship.
If this is happening to a community you like, you can always switch to the same community in a different instance. Eventually, the "official" community will have the most subscribers and the community with the censorship problems will wither and die.
What's to moderate? That insurance companies prevent doctors from delivering effective health care? That insurance companies regularly abuse the contracts they have with customers and deny their claims for arbitrary reasons? That by removing all non-violent options for customers to appeal an unjust decision, they leave only violent ones? This is just basic reality. Removing complaints about insurance company practices is not "moderation." That's just censorship.

They need to stop messing with things that work. Feature creep is how Windows XP turned into the dumpster fire it is today. Does the interface have a working file explorer? Does it support add-ons? Does it have a file search? You're done.
You don't have to rely on luck if you can afford to buy a bunch of lawmakers and a Supreme Court or two. It's amazing how many "smart businessmen" rely on a bought and paid for justice system.
