Absolutely sound logic though.

I believe that has some relevance to the story but honestly I haven't tried that one.

I'll throw my hat in the ring and say - the newer Wolfenstein series.

Incredible story, Incredible gameplay with choices that matter, and a lot of content to occupy your time across the like 3-4 games.

I only run a small community surrounding my home country, but I only plan on removing things that aren't directly related to the country or at least adjacent to. As well as anything that is largely irrelevant which I suspect of being spam.

Rest is fine, discussion is healthy. I don't need to agree with everyone, that isn't what this is about.

The insane vitriol of some people on here, wishing death to this man, rejoicing in very obvious cognitive decline, it's harrowing.

The policy this man has supported and even pioneered is horrific, and frankly he should never have been allowed to push that shit nor would I ever support it, but you can bet your fucking ass I'm not going to be sat here laughing about an old man in clear mental distress or wishing death on him, because I'm not a piece of shit and I actually have some form of morality.

People that have played this – Are you enjoying it? Would it be okay for me to jump in and play this new one and not miss anything story wise, provided I've never played any of the others? Or should I be looking to at least look to learn the story so far with the other games before attempting to play this new one?

I do kinda love this name.

Frankly I have absolutely no idea, I would encourage asking if you're concerned though.

Can't speak for others, but my decision to stick with lemm.ee stemmed from seeing how active the owner is, the minimal defederation and the bot & moderation policies meaning there are minimal bots, and I've yet to currently see much spam issues, which is nice.

Also helps that the owner Sunaurus is an active contributor to the Lemmy project as a whole, so we get patches and fixes relatively quickly.

Ping times are low everywhere because the files we serve are hosted on globally distributed servers. So if you're in North America, you will download the frontend code (and images etc) from a North American server. But the backend is actually hosted in Germany

I translated some stuff in that German blog. It's kinda wild, vaccination damage and the KGB mixed with more far right conspiracy theories and then just general normal stuff.

Meta and however many other of the giant tech companies.

Often it's cheaper for these services to take fines than it is to change up their operation, by an order of magnitude.
