Let me fix the headline - Israel commits more state sponsored terrorist attacks in neighbouring countries.

I am in the US, so financial calculations need to be factored in.

God I fucking hate what capitalism has done to what should be basic human rights.

At what point will people realise this genocide is not a 'War' at all.

These murderers should be tried in the Hague.

Seems weird that they'd want to go after their voter base so publicly.

Are you claiming that the German government is running that instance?

Man, seeing Germany side with genocide once again was fucking not on my bingo card.

I don't imagine things will get better under the new right-wing government either.

How can you see this genocide unfolding, ethnic cleansing at a minimum of you're scared if using the G word, and still say "Well, I don't really want to take a side here"

This kind of rhetoric enables these war crimes. You've outlined yourself what Israel is doing, and they're going to continue because the western governments aren't doing anything real about it.

The least we can do as individuals is call them out on their bullshit and remind others around us that the genocide they're committing is entirely fucked up and unjustifiable.

It should come as a surprise to nobody that a complete unwillingness to have something come to an end is quite a barrier to said thing coming to an end.

That mixed with incompetence, even if he wanted the cash cow that is the illegal invasion of Ukraine to end, he's not intelligent enough to navigate that.

They also actively ignore those 'No licence needed' declarations, I've submitted three, two online and one by mail and they still routinely threaten to show up on my doorstep 'any day now'

Why ask me to declare it if you're going to ignore that? There's probably cause for a complaint there but I'd rather not waste the oxygen.

I regrettably also have this drawer.

Attempts at cleaning it usually end up with the drawer now being somewhere else, but it clings to life somehow.

I think they're just a fact of life at this point.

I'm in favour of Option 3, privacy concerns considered.

User experience is big for me here, the broken images are something of a frustration that I've been dealing with for a while now, so the option to combat that is a clear winner for me.

I imagine we all have different use cases, my idea of Lemmy succeeding may not be your idea.

That being said, as a replacement for Reddit, where I can scroll through the top say 50 posts once or twice a day, it absolutely fits the bill.

Engagement is much better for me here, I imagine due to the smaller size of the community, that lends itself to their being much less useless garbage comments and much more constructive or informative discussion.

I fear there are many on Lemmy that don't truly grasp the gravity of the current geopolitical climate, and despite you laying it out here with ease, people will disagree with your assessment.

Keep writing like this, we need as many doses of reality as we can muster in amongst the genocide apologists and arm chair experts.

Five years ago, if you had asked me if Israel would be committing terrorist attacks across Palestine, Lebanon and beyond, I would have said absolutely not.

I would have been wrong, even back then, but jesus fucking christ, what an absolute shambles.
