I'm so happy to read this. I hope they will keep language sounds as EA did a funny work with that.
My dream is that we could play this game again without having to deal with installation tutorials and hacked files.
People stating it will be on Switch 2: I suspect it wont, let me explain.
They will certainly release it on Switch 1 as they promise MP4 on Switch 1, but they didn’t announce a Switch 2 version. My guesse is if they also announce a enhanced version for Switch 2 after the release, it could offends players that will have the feeling of buying it twice.
I suspect Nintendo don’t want to puts players in this situation.
So if the game is released before the Switch 2 version, I suspect it will not be released on Switch 2 or not be release as an enhanced version.
Just a reminder that those funky hardwares are full of open source software builds (often emulators) and often does not follow the GPL licence licence and providing source code back. Things are moving in the good direction but I thinks its important for us, as user, to complain about GPL licence, specifically for such hardware that often needs updates.
I suspect Nintendo applied the japanese mobile scheme to global market, but its a mistake on the long run: Such practice for a company considered family-friendly can be bad, as it can trigger regulations.
When you remove one emulator that makes money, it’s because of money. Yuzu code will not be lost, but keeping a healthy community after DMCA will be hard.
But when you close 8,000 repositories, it’s a kick in the hardware preservation community. The simple fact it’s possible to do this is frightening.
Come on, we can argue that Switch 2 price is too high without the need of a PC Master Race evangelist.
