  • In many jurisdictions what they're doing there isn't illegal at all. It is well understood that you do not post links out in the open.

Downloading isn't illegal, sharing is. At least outside of the US (and a few others)

  • Yes, but you know what their biases are and can take that into account. Do you know what the biases are for the privately owned news sources? Sometimes sure, but it isn't always as clear.

  • Very well said. This is precisely why I include sources like Al-Jazeera.

  • There are no moulds that grow on cheese that are fatal. They just taste bad.

So in short, yes, cut it off and eat. If it tastes fine, it is.

  • The fact that they went with an app at all puts of me off of it. Maybe I've become to accustomed to web interfaces, but it's what I expect nowadays.

  • I had the opposite of a lot of people here, though no less satisfying.

Once got stuck behind a car going 30 under the speed limit. It was a single lane road, and the opposing lanes had a lot of traffic so there was no way for me or the other dozen cars behind to safely pass.

When that cop pulled the slow car over it was cheerful honking all the way back.

  • It's always sucked for them, and it always will. That's why we make accommodations for them, like extra time or a smaller/move private exam hall.

  • When I was in College for Computer Programming (about 6 years ago) I had to write all my exams on paper, including code. This isn't exactly a new development.

  • No, but you can use it to buy a prepaid Credit Card and register it with bogus info.

  • I tend to follow journalists more than the publications themselves. That said my usual go-to's would be BBC World, CBC, Al-Jazeera, and AP.

  • It's the Sea Rhinos you should be more concerned about.

  • So you don't need to obey the laws because others don't? You're being childish, it isn't that big of a deal.

I will say that ticket you got is bullshit though. That's just a dick cop.

  • I've found it to be very bloated and slow myself. Not to mention it wasn't able to detect a good chunk of my library. The fact that it requires an app from the Windows Store is super odd too.

  • Carla and QJackCTL for me. So much easier than having to haul around all my amps, pedals, etc.

  • I imagine the surface matters a lot. Running on pavement? Shards of glass?

  • I just ordered a Netgate SG-1100 and I am beyond excited to spend the next few days seeing what this thing can do.

  • Whenever I feel this way, which is often, I tinker with my homelab or play music. Oftentimes I don't feel to motivation to, but I know once I start I'll get sucked right in.

  • You're literally feeding it every word you type. That's before you factor in trackers and whatnot.
