How about this. In one case the sex was consensual, where in the other it was not. Now put your self in the shoes of someone who was forcibly raped. Do you think they would see it as the same. These people were lied to and deceived, and that is terrible. But it many people will say it just isn't the same level. And that diminishes rape generally. But in addition to the personal crime, it is also a crime against all of the people. Thier trust in police is erroded further. So while it is comparably terrible, a lot of people just won't see it that way. But in their heads, when they hear rape, a small part of them will think of this and say, "that's not so bad".

A company could have a far superior product, but if they have a less known and influential C-suite, they will lose to other products. In the end it is all about trading favors amongst the elite. If business decisions were just about products, we wouldn't need all these upper management shills.

I don’t think the vast majority of people are pro conscription. Some see it as necessary, but I wouldn't call that pro. That said, if other countries provided professional soldiers instead of just money, maybe conscription wouldn't be needed.

All very good points. But it also talks about the search being possibly unconstitutional. The would include the manifesto and the gun. That would be significant. All they have is video essentially from what I have heard. That won't be enough. However I assume they have prints or something from where he stayed that I just haven't heard about. That would probably be enough to establish he is the one on the videos. But if he was arrested illegally, would the prints they took from him at booking be admissible?

Seeing all of Europe line up behind Z. I think things worked out far better than he hope for. Heck, just for driving a wedge between the US and Europe putin might shake Z's hand. Talk about mission accomplished.

So word is that the more the US mistreats Z, the more the European people like him, and want to support him. So this was probably a great outcome fir them. The deal offered was very one sided. Had Z just not taken it, people would blame him. But now, everyone knows who to blame.

This is generally good advice if you work for anything but the smallest of companies.
If you don't directly answer to a C suite exec while being an individual contributer AND know and trust the (singular) IT person, the company is too big to trust with non work information.

Overall, I think this needs to be done by a neutral 3rd party. I just have no idea how such a 3rd party could stay neutral. Some with social media content moderation.
