Animal crossing pocket camp just became buy to play. It's currently on a reduced price right now, and it's pretty fun. I enjoy it because it's played vertically, and now that there's no micro transactions, I can earn all the items just by playing. It had a 7 year life cycle, so there's a lot of content to check out.
The gameplay loop is fairly limited, and I wouldn't say it's the most fun. But once you get enough items to start decorating things, it makes it fun to spruce to your campsite and personal spaces.
I don't understand why they would put so much man power into this specific case. People get murdered constantly, but it's rare for it to get this much coverage. If anything, it just emphasizes how the guy was justified.
These people are treated like royalty compared to the average person.
I always think back to this story and wonder if the same could happen for humans in some way. Maybe one day we'll figure out a way to fix our societies
I once had to put down a pet goldfish that was dying, and I did it the wrong way, and it was extremely traumatizing. I still feel bad about it and it's been 8 years.
I could tell it was in pain. Or it certainly seemed like it was suffering. I think we just need to observe animals more.
The only thing I struggle with is how to handle bugs. Especially when they become pests or are a risk of carrying disease. I'm curious if we can figure out a way to navigate that one day.
The LED headlights being put in are blinding. It didn't used to be like this. A friend recently got a new vehicle that had them straight from the factory. I don't understand it. Whenever I'm driving at night, I'm constantly getting blinded. It's weird
I would assume anything posted to the internet is accessible by AI. Nothing is sacred. I'm sure if your voice or face has been posted online, there's a chance for it to be used by AI in the future.
I stopped playing overwatch because I would play healer and then get abusive messages sent my way.
The breaking point was when I got one message demanding me to swap off mercy from one guy, and then a message from another teammate yelling at me for swapping off mercy. It was a really fun game at the time, but only with friends.
In the mid 2000's you got used to the trash talking pretty quick. I didn't mind it as a kid. But over time it got tiring. When xbox live introduced parties, we slowly stopped going into public chat. It was around the time the kinect launched when we stopped completely.
There was always somebody playing with it on rather than a mic, and you could hear their whole house. The crying kids, the dog barking, having arguments with their spouse. It was uncomfortable at best.
It's a shame because I met some of my best friends online. Now, because of time zones and work schedules, I never get to talk to them anymore. They aren't really the type to keep up a conversation unless you're actively talking with them daily, so we kinda just drift. Adult life really messed up my life lol.
I've been wondering if the hobbies I've been nurturing over the past while are just a distraction from not being able to get ahead in life and that if I were doing better off stability wise would I pursue the same things?
It's kinda like a weird butterfly effect of "if I wasn't struggling, would I be doing this still?" And then I question if I'm doing the right thing. Instead of investing time into hobbies or other superficial artistic endeavors, would I be better off by now if I had managed to invest the time into bettering myself, learning marketable skills, looking for better paying work etc?
I feel like it might not be worth overthinking things either, though. Looking into the past probably isn't helpful. But trying to look to the future has me questioning the past, lol.
Ima just throw this out there. But you should take the offer! You need real food. Take care of yourself before helping others! Don't live off of powder if you don't have to.
Edit: sorry if this came off the wrong way, but I see so many good people struggling and it sucks
That's always the best feeling. I was building a messaging app once for a college project, and I couldn't get it to work at all. Took it to my instructor after class, explained the issue, and explained all my ideas/attempts to fix it.
He booted the application up on his machine, and it worked first try. Somehow, from that point on, it was working, and I still have no idea how. My only guess is that it was some kind of caching issue.
