  • I just love the feeling of zipping around with the Mach Bike. In MK8, they're not quite as responsive and don't feel as good as the karts do, so it's almost the opposite problem

  • I personally lean towards Wii. The feel of the inline bikes just hasn't been matched. Super Circuit a close second for nostalgia reasons.

  • Doesn't that defeat the point of a valet? Or is the idea that they just park your car and then hand your keys back...?

  • Lode Runner for Apple II. Still remarkably playable. You could also go for The Legend Returns on PlayStation / Saturn.

  • Deus Ex had mirrors, dude. Duke 3D had them, even.

  • Aren't the Templars still kicking about? Or is that just in the conspiracy theories?

  • It's got the word 'Christmas' in it, so it must be a Christmas song!

  • The Sims 2 performs better on Linux than it ever did on Windows.

    Y'know, for what it's worth.

  • Unfortunately they're not 100% slavery-free as yet (it's a big production chain, and there's only so much one company can do) - however, they do have this Open Chain which makes the whole thing a bit more accountable. https://www.tonysopenchain.com/

  • I was going to suggest XIII, but I don't know if you'll get that to run on a Pi. Not sure what they're capable of these days!

  • I understand they made some code contributions (no sources to hand right now) and also made / sponsored the WPGraphQL and Advanced Custom Fields plugins. The first, Automattic poached the developer; the second, Automattic rebranded it and removed any mention of WPE.

Not saying that WPE is beyond reproach; just not sure it's 100% accurate to say they didn't contribute anything back at all

  • Brooklyn Nine-Nine did an entire episode lampshading this whole thing. (S06E14 for the curious)

  • Oh, absolutely! But I do feel you're trading a level of convenience for the privilege (and what a privilege!) - even something as simple as pirating one movie is already a much bigger hurdle than getting a Netflix subscription, for instance. Let alone setting up a Jellyfin server, backups, getting external connections / reverse proxying going, and so on.

  • The convenience of having your stuff at a click of a button is just too good.

Except when you go to find your stuff, discover it's not there, and yearn to be able to just stuff a DVD in a player.

  • And yet they exist for absolutely anything.

This is, unfortunately, the market. For many IPs, the only collectable that exists is the Funko Pop. So, it's either one of those, or no memorabilia at all. (Personally, the latter is far preferable, but folks like their doodads.)

  • Aluminium paper towels it is, then!

  • Tron comes with a huge caveat: make sure you know what you're doing, and don't run it blindly.

  • SHAME.
