  • Implying that the CRT has yet to be improved upon in any material sense. (Okay, maybe in terms of weight.)

  • I've just realised - Hammond was such a cheapskate that even the seatbelts in the helicopters didn't work properly.

  • Maybe they're just enthusiastic about the seminal Peter Gabriel album.

  • Dunno. I feel like if you've used an image from a reputable source under the proviso that you're licensed for it, and it turns out you're not... you may be able to blame Unsplash etc. and just swap the image out.

  • I remember they were graded in colours. I read them so much they ran out of colours to give me.

  • Unsplash, Freepik, Pexels, and countless other sites exist where you can get free images with clear licensing.

  • It uses a pretty nasty slur, true, but in the context of some ignorant jerk who thinks he's better than everyone. I don't believe Knopfler is a homophobe.

  • Oh I see - I don't know why, but I assumed this was a new game.

  • Oh no, we're getting to the point where PS2-era visuals are considered low-poly??

  • This is true! If you don't have a frame of reference for what is "good" (or what everyone else considers "good") then who the heck cares, play what you want

  • Lode Runner (NES) might be okay. Not multiplayer, but it's got nice low-stakes puzzling gameplay.

Edutainment games are a bit few and far between on consoles - Donkey Kong Jr. Math springs to mind, but it's remarkably dry for a Nintendo game.

  • The 2600 version is considered extremely bad. (It's not that bad but it's also not arcade-accurate)

There's a SNES version of Ms. Pac-Man which is extremely good, though.

  • Doesn't even have the usual "we value your privacy" lie.

  • I wish there was a Windows Server variant that had literally zero GUI, and was just a PowerShell instead. Would be so much mor efficient, especially for things like file servers.

(I'm aware of Server Core, but it's still got a GUI, let's be honest)

  • You can tell it to use the system version of Wine
