No. Unlike those, you dont have to unlock the app nd use them, the sandbox is just a normal apk but it dosent allow gservices root access and blocks most telemetry, leaving only the necessary APIs

If you want a total user sandbox, you create another user and install gservices there.

Well, great, but the fairphone is like 2 months behind on security patches, and they generally never do more than 1 OS update (for comparison, my pixel 7 has gotten 3 now, and with the 2 more years of support its likely to get 5 in total).

So basically instead of getting a phone that works for 8 years, you get a permanent security liability that is more likely to get water damage.

I mean sure, great idea, I would buy a phone with inferior CPU if I can support something good, but instead of something good I'm getting something inferior in every aspect just so I can change the battery in 2 years when I won't need the phone anyway because they just abandon any kind of timely updates anyway??

(BTW, I checked, the fairphone 5 is to this day still on android 14, a 2 year old OS. They could not care enough to update a 2 year old phone in 2 years except the legally necessary patches, they can't even release a monthly patch, and yet I should trust them with my most valuable data?)

At The same time many make other regional Tickets with others, like the bayernwald ticket, which covers part of these MVV network and non MVV networks.

So you might just think „well why not just make everything into a zone tarif”, but if you do that, if someone wants to go from Hessen to munich, since the zones are so big/many, they will have to pay way too much for many stations they will not even want to go to.

But for smaller places like the mvv network, if you abolish those zones, most stations will just just as much and the small ones which only accounted for cents if your zone ticket will die out.

So personally I think the problem with these tarif prices is just the over advertisement of time limited offers that only work for specific people and people not having properly learned about the 2 most important tickets in public transport: stripe cards for simple one way routes or zone tickets if you want a flatrate.

Dont know, I live in a pretty walkable City where I can bike in 5 Minuten from one end to the other, with a tech store, School, Beach, Bank, etc. Everything you would need. I have a train coming hourly if I want to go to the Beach or munich, but its admittadly way worse (20-30 mins) to bike to the next bigger City.
