Unfortunately, based on the stories my female friends and co-workers share about the audacity of straight men who’ve felt entitled to sex after paying for dinner…It’s a common issue that women experience in the dating scene. Very often the women who told these stories are cautious and aren’t too forward, given they are concerned by sending the wrong message. Yet, it wasn’t uncommon for the subject to come up, that often was a date ender.
Personally, as a gay man, it didn’t happen much because Grindr is where most go if they want a hookup.
Could you clarify what you mean sexist in response to my comment? I want to be sure we’re on the same page before replying.
David Zaslav is truly the problem in this situation! I agree they should've forced him out instead, as Zaslav's foolish chasing of trends got Warner the outcome they deserved.
ROFL Oof, this has happened to me as well!
For the most part, I agree! I started with a dumb phone, moved on to the Samsung series of Android phones up until the inevitable would happen. I really liked those phones too, as theming is a passion of mine! I did switch to the Pixel 7 Pro because I at the time, I wasn't too distrusting of Google. Alas, if only the pivot to LLM BS never happened and it remained a mostly background affair. The autocorrect with better spellchecking/grammar were nice, but everything else is a PITA.
I might be if you started on Android but then transitioned to iPhone 15+ and iOS after Google started to cram too much LLM Bullshit into Android. Otherwise, I had been a Windows person first, before I couldn't tolerate Microsoft's BS any longer. I should've left some more tech history in there, but this meme is certainly my current self!
I'm the Tech Conservative with an iPhone, uses the Fedora Distro as my ride or die at the moment! I feel pretty balanced...Though, I do have a desire to hop to other distros for a while before going back to where it all started: Ubuntu. Ubuntu started my passion for Linux; opened my world to FOSS, issues with Privacy, and viewing most companies with neutrality, unless they've shown their dark side!
ROFL If he were handsome, I’d probably be mildly amused but still shut him down.
ROFL If someone did that to me on a date, I’d be out the door too! A date should be a little bit getting to know you/flirty. If you’re after a piece of ass…There are apps for that. 🫢

Yeah, your nation isn’t giving giving you a choice in this case. Ultimately, circumventing the ban is the right move as a form of protest.
Wrong community!
A “Showerthought” is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you’re doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

Hmm, this is a shame, but Saudi Arabia will always be against anything progressive. This game will get my dollars, so I better play the first one! Thankfully, Piracy comes in to save the day, but it would feel terrible to pirate a Warhorse game.
chortles This meme is the embodiment of my first run ins with other gay men. To be fair, I was a mentally unstable vers dude before I cultivated mental stability within my mind.
Nah, not enough! I need to know how good the story is, how well combat and stealth works in this game, how well they brought an older version of Japan to life, and performance and bugs. An image can look cool, but the product could be trash, this game has potential to be good like Odyssey was (beautiful but a grindy game). With Ubisoft involved, it very well could be a bad game, just as much as a sleeper hit.
Does SIMS 3 work on Linux Mint?
My only concern would be the specs of the machine; Laptops can vary so much in terms of performance and level of support for the components within it. It would probably work easily using Steam+Proton. I play The Sims 3 using Steam+Proton on my Ubuntu Linux Desktop, the performance is pretty good! It only made my processor a warm 63C to 65C, I played on high specs with shadows turned down (shadows are always resource hog). I had a few packs enabled, but not enough to truly test my system.
The worst hurdle is always the initial Vulkan Driver processing. Depending on the quality and heat management of the laptop/PC that will be used, it might overheat during this process. Afterward, she should have a perfectly normal launch experience. One thing I noticed is that attempting to sign in will cause a fatal error and the game will need to be restarted; cloud saves are not enabled for The Sims 3. You'll naturally have to back up her saves and transfer them to wherever they'll be going post Mint installation.
You're welcome! Stress, I find, is often the biggest contributing factor to nightmares as the mind is trying to deal with it. Sleep is often the time feelings and experiences are processed. Stress is like a shotgun blast to that processing, that overflow of feeling seems to lead to nightmares more often. When your situation changes, that pre-sleep period will be vital to managing future dreaming, it also allows one to begin to settle in a mental state suitable for Lucid Dreaming. I certainly hope this will help you sleep easier!
The practice of Lucid Dreaming has allowed me to redirect nightmares successfully in most cases, there were only few instances that I could not wake up or change the nightmare's nature. Lucid Dreaming does take practice, though, but thankfully there are a lot of books on the subject. You'll be able to sift through the many to find the one which you vibe with the most, as the method is very individual in nature.
Secondly, at least two or three hours before bed, I make sure to only read or watch videos that are lighthearted in nature because horror or grim content can affect the dreams or nightmares you'd face during sleep. Let go of any stress or dark thoughts before going to sleep also helps, I find exorcising these thoughts with writing them down helps the most. It allows reason to smooth these thoughts and feelings over, giving them less power to shape a dreamer's experience!
The packages are stinky as they are so old, in addition to program versions on offer are frozen several versions behind program versions on modern distros. System76 even started to offer Ubuntu 24.04 on their prebuilds for this reason. It's too old and while they managed to bring more recent drivers to Pop!_OS, it's going to be phased out when COSMIC DE is ready for stable launch with an Ubuntu 24.04 base. Pop!_OS is not a good recommend going forward; System76 let it get too old before taking appropriate action, but to be fair to them, building a DE from scratch is hard work.
Pop!_OS is a bit too out of date in my opinion, the packages are super stale as it's based on Ubuntu 22.04! It certainly worked fine when I used it for a few months while trying to decide what distro was next. I used it briefly and enjoyed a lot of how System76 handles the Pop!_OS DE. However, so much of the software is trapped many versions behind of what is current in the Linux space...I can't be certain System76 was backporting fixes to these old ass program versions because I did have odd issues from time to time. Nothing system breaking, just annoying to deal with.
However, even System76 has finally started to offer Ubuntu 24.04 on their prebuilds, as they knew their repository is very stinky at this stage. That opens up access to modern versions of programs, access to bug fixes that make using a lot of software a smoother experience. I would recommend System76's COSMIC DE with an Ubuntu base when it is in stable; as the System76 team are bringing a lot of those handy Pop!_OS features with a brand new coat of paint and fresher (not bleeding edge) packages.
Oh, no dude gets away with handsome pass, I still shut them down regardless! I’m only amused, because a handsome dude should not have trouble getting action if he’s suave.
