  • I usually pick up enough stuff to last me a week or even two; mostly frozen pizzas, ingredients for curry, sweets, snacks, pantry staples like pasta sauce and pasta. Caffeinated beverages like soda or energy drinks are typically on my list too. I also get toiletries, cleaning supplies, and toilet paper every few weeks.

  • There's always that element too, but he seems to be in a post growth stage in his YouTube presence. He hasn't been as aggressive about growing...However, old habits are hard to banish, which means there is a chance this could be a calculated move designed to farm his audience and others for engagement in the algorithm. It could simply be born out of his own satisfaction with the Linux distro he's currently using. Since he didn't go into great detail, his motivation is up in the air. It seems to come from a genuine place, but that doesn't mean the comment does originate from a genuine place. I suppose that I merely hope it stems from his honest opinion, only time will tell.

  • I do too, I hope he can make a lot of people curious, not just children! Yeah, it helps others challenge their own assumptions and trying something new when a public figure tries (fails a bit on the way, but ultimately succeeds). Doing something new will mean you stumble a bit here and there, the fact he didn't hesitate looking things up during the process is a good reminder to constantly ask questions and find answers.

Role Models aren't chosen, they just end up resonating with people and helping shape positive changes within others...He has a lot of people who resonate with him and are inspired by him. The fact that he considered his ideas before going deep into the racist pipeline and turned it around makes him a good role model in my opinion. He took a break from YouTube, reflected on his choices, and came back after making a decision to shows others there is a better way to handle controversy. He didn't double down, sink deeper into the cesspool of racist ideology, he resurfaced as a better person instead. That says a lot about his character, it makes him a positive influence. All people stumble along the road of life, but that doesn't mean you have to fall to a level that some exist on; you can become an elevated person instead.

  • Interesting, given he has such a large fan base...It would bring Linux to the forefront. His honest reply about the state of Linux Gaming might sway some of his audience to experiment with Linux.

Before commenting, I did check and saw that he cleaned up his act after that white supremacist shit he was peddling. So that's good, having positive role models for young people only makes the world better.

  • I personally don’t get hangovers because I moderate my alcohol intake…Chasing with small sips of water or nonalcoholic drinks, I only remember feeling really fuzzy after a night of bad choices as a younger man. It lasted hours, but was more like a temporary brain fog and not very difficult to overcome.

  • If EA chooses the stupid route and BioWare doesn’t fight back…Yep, it could be and it would be a DOA game. Given that EA C-Suites don’t have more than 3 shared brain cells between them; they’ll fail to notice that Sony axed their live service game ambitions. They’ll pretend to not see the other struggling live service game companies, and think that Mass Effect as a franchise will have the drive behind it to win. It won’t give that Andromeda was such a flop which didn’t excite a lot of Mass Effect fans.

This is a game that cannot fail (lest the Mass Effect franchise fall into ruin), but will if too many bad decisions are made in the development process.

  • LMAO I’m glad I stopped using Hulu’s service as they are a corpo dumpster fire; streaming was always doomed to become shitty because corporations can’t help but screw up good things. They intentionally waited for the shift in Administration to be as bullshit as possible.

  • Hopefully your younger brother learns that being a red flag guy isn't a good thing; It's going to be a hard lesson, but one that is absolutely important. Trust, honestly, healthy boundaries, and respect are the cornerstones for successful relationships. You can only be an in-demand guy for so long before this type of relationship behavior will push more people away than it attracts. I'm glad that you're trying to nudge him in the right direction, though.

  • As long as we consistently don't buy their intentionally compromised products...It's been shown that companies will relent. Like Sony did recently with their PSN requirements for certain games, as the hostile feedback was hurting sales. I will continue to heckle those big corps myself, until they kowtow! It's a boss battle, but they only have so much HP, Chip Damage is a successful strategy.

  • You're fine, I was just stating my own opinion. As it's true, if I didn't have such an intolerance to certain barriers to entry...I could get this game to work easily. As weirdly enough, I will spend more than 10 minutes looking for obscure repositories to add in order to make something work (like Vintage Story, I needed an older Fedora 39 repo of .NET 7 to make the game run) even if a Flatpak exists. ROFL

I'm just a silly sausage, I took zero offense...If anything, my initial comment was too speedy and needed more consideration before posting it!

  • Edit: Yes, I could use Lutris to launch EA app and verify this game. I know it's lazy of me, but these little unnecessary barriers are annoying; I will just save my money and spend it on a game that opts to not use them like EA is wont to do. As the company can't help itself, as it is trying to emulate the success of Steam but falling on its face.

Happy The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 remaster day, regardless, as EA listened to The Sims community at least!

  • ROFL He's sweating so much because DeepSeek is proving their little money making scam shouldn't be as expensive and resource intensive as it is! So he's out here trying to shame DeepSeek, which will make investors ask a lot of hard questions and retract funding for their AI Lie. If DeepSeek could burst the bubble of American Made LLM Models, I'd be tickled pink. I'd naturally never use it as LLMs are really only good for spellchecking and grammar in my opinion (never should've strayed further than that without proper research and developing a true code of ethics that wouldn't be overstepped constantly).

I love how much this C-Suite shitbag is maulding at the moment!
