In summary: Choose what you want, what you have the easiest time working with.

A bit more into my own opinion-

Personally, I use Ubuntu as my gaming and productivity distro. It’s super easy to install and does everything for you (you can customize aspects of installation if you want). I’ve had issues installing Arch-Based distros on my rig, even with UEFI off. Arch-Based distros need more technical knowledge; I’ve found myself unable to dig too deep in the guts of certain aspects. The installer is truly hands-on, and due to the UEFI issue, my manual partitioning failed. It was specifically the EndeavourOS installer, which had this particular issue. Completely deleted my ability to boot Ubuntu, leading to a frantic night of reinstalling Ubuntu. I’d only suggest anything Arch related if you’re comfortable with learn by doing or have advanced experience with the inner workings of software.

For me, Ubuntu is a good middle ground that gives the user room to play, but also a stable base to build on top of. Valve's Proton Compatibility makes gaming on most distros fairly easy because a lot of the work is done for a user. I've run so many games on Ubuntu just fine using Proton. There are exceptions for older games, which have different methods to get them running on Linux.

You can also enable Flatpak on Ubuntu (using commands to install the proper dependencies to make Flatpaks work on your system). There are so many options aside from using Debs and Snaps on Ubuntu. Snaps have gotten much better over time, I find myself not having any noticeable issues now since Canonical has worked heavily on the installer.

The distro I end up recommending more, second to Ubuntu, is Linux Mint because of their onboarding new users experience. It's just as easy as Ubuntu to use, a bit aesthetically challenged though as Mint really embraces that default older Windows look. However, that familiarity helps ease new users into a Linux Distro.

Honestly, now it's a toss-up between getting a Legion Go or a Steam Deck...As I prefer the control scheme Lenovo is rocking. I never really liked the massive touchpads. However, that could easily be resolved by using the Steam Deck in Docked Mode on my 4K TV. Getting cozy on the couch with a good game or on the go is pretty appealing. It makes me happy that another manufacturer is hesitantly embracing Steam OS, as it if this does go well, we'll see more devices with Steam OS.

They did kill iTunes as it was too old and the work to modernize it would be too much. However, the functions of iTunes live on in several apps: Apple Music, Apple Devices, Apple TV, and iCloud for Windows. You will just have to grab the apps you need from the Windows Store. Such a fuss was made about this, I'm surprised you didn't know! The Apple Support updated relevant pages to let people know too.

I got excited until I found out this was a multiplayer title. This is a great team making a game that I couldn't possibly care about, makes me sad to say their effort is dead to me.

The few people I’ve talked to about the matter don’t care about the CEO being murdered as his decision were so ruthless and harmed many. A coworker mentioned it would’ve been better if that CEO was put on trial for his bullshit as so many were being fucked over by callous capitalist choices. That this man needed to be made an example of so those fat cats would be worried as fuck.

I’m also not sad that scumbag is dead; I’m sad that circumstances pushed the accused to the edge that an assassination of a CEO was the right answer. The system is so fucked, this should be an alarm bell ringing event. Knowing the good old USA, it will be swept under the rug until a real, large scale violent uprising happens.

100% this, realistically Windows has a better OOTB experience. Ubuntu is now second place in my opinion as they did a lot of work making the installer work seamlessly with most hardware. I don’t have issues with Ubuntu unless I do something stupid, which is less frequent given my knowledge base is a lot better and I can do the basics reasonably well.

This is why I use this music with a care. To not only stay sensitive to it, but also due to not having to absolutely be up for something every day.

The Sonic drowning soundtrack will wake me out of a dead fucking sleep. That’s what I use for alarms that I can’t afford to sleep through.

Steam is far more secure than Sony, I would prefer that they'd just give up with trying to strong-arm PC gamers into signing up for their PSN Slop.

As a casual user of Linux (no strong inclination or skill in coding), I tend to veer towards distros that minimize the Terminal usage in favor of graphical user interfaces for accomplishing most changes. Modern Linux distros are a lot friendlier in terms of installing Software from a distro store and graphic drivers via a graphical interface. You won't ever fully be able to eliminate the terminal usage, as it's inevitable for certain tasks like adding PPAs on Ubuntu for example. It was honestly word salad for me during my first foray into the Linux world; but now I have a basic understanding of the Linux kernel and how it functions on a very surface level. I know enough to string commands together and understand the reason why it's necessary to do things in a certain order.

I'm not sure if you'd have a good time with Linux, I'm hesitant to tell you to take the plunge because you will have to faff around with the terminal and use commands at times to accomplish certain things. That requires both focus and patience, something which is naturally difficult for those with ADHD (unless a hyperfixation is quite strong). I'd give yourself time to think about switching for a while, ultimately you might be better sticking with the current OS that you're using.

I want quality content and not the slop Ubishit and Evil, Actually are wont to create; there are several 'AAA' games studios that belong on the right-hand side but wouldn't fit in the meme well.

This is often me on my first of four days off, because dammit, social interaction/being alive is so tiring.

Hmm...I just think the direction they took with Lightning and the other characters wasn't ideal and the moment to moment gameplay was not the best; I said nothing about outright hate for the game. Furthermore, I only feel disdain for real things that could actually cause harm to the world.

I feel like the themes of slavery were so poorly handled that it shouldn't have even been a plot point. The game would've been the same without them or with them; as they didn't handle it with much nuance and doubtfully had the writing chops to do so. While the Boss Battles with summons are spectacles, they can get really dull the more you fight bosses. I would say it's a mix of infantile oppressive fantasy to occasional brilliant scenes that made me question why this game was overall so-so. Those strong moments of writing never stuck around long enough to make a greater impact; it made me feel like two people were responsible for the writing of this game, and the worse writer won more often.

I wouldn't say it's the worst Final Fantasy as the FF 13 trilogy still exists, however, FF16 is a middling entry in the series.
