  • Yeah really our productivity in those terms just dropped to 2016 levels.

Now if you compare to Argentina's struggles. People can see why there were so many people trying to get out of there. They weren't criminals being sent out of their prisons, they were people fleeing a giant recession that left them starving.

  • The circled area is the blip that your source is referring to. The giant drop before it is from during Trump's first term. Everyone thought we were going to hit a recessesion that would be a big issue. As you can see it was fixed extremely quickly. The wall street journal leans right and was using it as propaganda to promote Republican efforts.

  • They've already been redacted and destroyed what was incriminating long ago. Right now they are just fabricating evidence to pin on political enemies. There isn't a single piece of information this administration could ever say that I would believe anymore. They illegally took over all independent bodies of government to weaponize them. Why would anyone trust the world being told by a fraud. He has no dignity, no morals, ethics, apathy, empathy or any kind of soul left. If NASA said we put man on the moon again, I wouldn't believe it. All the scientists should just go home. Every finding they make has no credibility and will all have to be re-done years from now to establish if it were even true. Cancer treatment from the U.S.? Doubt. We will need bodies in other countries to confirm the methods might actually work. Which means restarting all the research from scratch and spending all the money again.

  • Many. Also his first point is why remote workers would be able to attend the meeting more often, making "iteration" faster. His second point doesn't make any sense either. People don't do their jobs for sheer fun. They do it for a paycheck. Yet people actually got more work done while at home more often than not because less distractions from coworkers and stupid in person meetings. Plus some would go eat dinner, and then say 'im going to go finish this so I don't have to deal with it tomorrow". Which only benefits the company.

  • How do they no longer need it? Isn't Google like 80% of their income? Mozilla was controlled opposition. This would be a historic moment in history though Like when Gates loaned his buddy Jobs money to help Apple launch the iPhone.

  • Murder innocent women and children. You should deport the rest of the women and children to some place they've never lived and let the murderers take their homes. Spray paint a car, you should deport the spray painter to a prison in a country they have never lived in.

I see no inconsistency in their logic /s

  • Yeah, if they did the multiple profile thing, in the end all of the IP addresses would still link the profiles back to the same user (or household) on Reddit's end, which we know they sell user data like many companies do. Many sites don't intentionally grab the data but rather have to have the data for functionality. (Hope I'm not over explaining something you already know, just information in case people aren't aware.). Essentially every machine while connected to the Internet is tied to an IP address. If I go to a webpage, say Google I am outwardly requesting the data from Google.com (or w.e the address is which also translates to an IP address). The data from that page is sent back from their website to my IP. When that is done it is logged as computers verify the packets are all sent/received for any errors. So say you search for a washer/dryer or pants. It knows what you wanted, and where it was sending that information. Now someone who sells those products wants to know who is looking for those products, so they will pay Google (or other companies) for that information and also want Google to push advertisements for their website who sells pants or home appliances that delivers or is local to your area. They know where you are locally because your IP is tied back to your City/Internet Service Provider. So marketing wise, that's already a good enough geographical understanding of "they've got a Sears near them, send them our adverts" or no they don't have a Sears near them, don't waste our advertising budget on them specifically. (Maybe shipping costs are high to your area)

It's all happening fluidly all the time in the background

  • That was the Senate not Congress, but yes those are the numbers. The Senate holds terms 3x longer than Congress and thus do not represent their constituents as accurately. They are a not proportionatly representing the population which is why many believe they should be reformed. (1 member represent less than 600,000 people in one state, while another member represents ~19,000,000 people.). Their votes both count as 1.

So while the majority of Democrats now have an unfavorable view of Israel, where as in 2022 the majority had a favorable view, this takes much longer to get representation in the Senate. Are there representatives that vote against their constituents beliefs, sure. But when a change happens that fast it is very hard for a Representative based government to be able to move fluid enough to represent what the people want vs the payment checks coming from their campaign funders.

A dictatorship is not the answer, but we need voting systems that get accurate representation of the majority of the population much more efficiently. Unfortunately that would make us more of a democracy and the oligarchs don't want that. Because we would vote to better the majority and shrink the wage gaps. Which inevitably makes it harder for them to control the media when they don't have as much money to buy all of it. Making more voting go to help the people and not their pockets.

  • Biden refused to break the law. If you want legislation to change taxes it has to go through Congress. It was 50 Republicans 2 independents and 48 Democrats for the first half and then 51 Republicans, 2 independents and 47 democrats in the second half of his administration. To fundamentally change things you either can do so legally by having majority support or illegally by overthrowing the government. Impeachment also takes at least 50% of Congress to file the articles. If Biden actually did something illegal he would have been impeached, yet while Republicans voted 50/51 against anything that mattered, they never could get all 51 of them to agree with impeachment, because Republicans were the ones who had to have agreed on EVERY piece of legislation that passed during his administration or it wouldn't have passed. Saying he was currupt was always a publicity stunt.

  • Jesus was nailed to a cross, tortured for days then imprisoned when he didn't die from it right away. Who did that? Conservatives. Conservatives today believe Jesus's messages of empathy, accepting others, and helping everyone are weakness that should be stamped out. Yet they all claim "country and God". So if Jesus exists his message is clearly dead and just used to control masses and get them to fall in line. If you want to cherish the ideology of what Jesus was originally pushed as, that's wonderful, but just as language evolves so does "Jesus.". He's now a curb stomp those you are unsure about, shoot that person that looks different than me, and if you ask me for help you should be deported to a slave labor camp.

Or maybe that's just what the majority of Christian followers in the U.S believe.

  • I don't think the title makes any sense. "Shift disaster prep to states". It already is. FEMA as a federal entity cannot do anything on state property without direct assignment by the state. The states tell FEMA where when and what to do when there is an emergency. This is why Puerto Rico not having a proper plan set up was such a failure during Hurricane Maria. FEMA brought supplies, landed on airstrip. Had no legal rights to disperse any of it, and it sat for weeks. Pallets of water were on the side of the runway for a year while people had no access to clean water. I've been saying this for a long time, Florida has a great hurricane readiness plan. Every state should copy paste it and update it to fit it to their needs. Everything from building codes to dispersal is all put together to ensure quick efficient responses. It wasn't long ago that Florida was a purple state with the Highest ranked Universities in the country. It's just diminishing quickly

  • That and if you remember he's been on calls with Putin for the last few weeks. Putin hired North Koreans to help invade Ukraine. NK and Russia were worried South Korea might assist in defending Ukraine. So naturally. Trump has to start scrutinizing Korea more
