  • Oh absolutely. It's just compared to thr vast majority of humans who have ever lived, our complaints are sort of like when billionaires nowadays complain about being taxed.

Our lives are almost unimaginably better, somehow doubly so if you are a woman or minority, than most of the entirety of human history. So I find it ironic that there'll be such a more a significant record about the most relatively pampered people in human history complaining.

  • Have you been recruited to go die in a trench? Or seriously worry about starving to death? Or watched a child die of measles, smallpox or whooping cough? Been a literal slave who could be whipped?

Hell, would you even trade places with the children who made your shirt?

  • A lot of folks are overlooking one of the largest factors, unlimited student loans for whatever.

As long as people have access to an ever increasing amount of money to use for tuition, it is in those institutions' interests to rise their prices to extract as much as possible.

Whereas other countries tend to subsidize their education at source, that is to say, by funding the schools directly which somehwat obviates the price gouging aspect.

  • According to that, there is no better defender of women's rights than Donald trump, as he himself has declared.

Inadvertently or not, you've parroted a lot of Right Wing talking points. They usually insist thinking of race is itself racist, white people are actually the most discriminated and so on. From the Left, the refusal to see/think of race etc is a convenient way to ignore structural racism etc.

The first part of your last post comes across as a tone deaf right winger trying to say we should stop talking about race. And once people have read that first paragraph, they are unlikely to read much in depth of the next few.

  • I don't know much about wrestling but enjoy incredibly over the top and silly local wrestling, nothing like hearing a theatre of people chant 'bite his dick! Bite his dick!"

Anyhow, super curious, what's the filthy mark reference or?

  • Polls don't reflect real results.

the polls were off by less than 3% in the swing states.

You misunderstanding or misinterpreting them doesn't change their validity.

It is possible that Singh could lose his seat in the same way I could draw an ace from a shuffled deck, it could happen but it's not particularly likely.

Which is why the notion that Singh is supporting the government on the off chance that the polls are wildly wrong to make sure he gets a pension is a downright silly idea.

  • Think through the logic and facts of what you're proposing.

    1. Singh is the leader of the party and will thus be given a safe seat.
    2. Burnaby has multiple such seats, that 338 agrees will probably stay orange.

So, what is the path you envision in which Singh loses his seat? An absolute bloodbath for the NDP that goes beyond anything observed in the polls thus far? An internal revolt in the NDP? Magic?
