  • They actually do generate enough revenue in a year. Ignoring business expenses ofc. That would be the 15b figure below. Elon is quite literally asking for an amount that would be comparable to liquidating all of tesla, selling off every scrap.

  • The 2008 crisis was an example of mass fraud, and I'd be happy to be proven wrong. You can't point to historical data saying your investment strategy is safe, even tho you completely changed the model. Saying "mortgages are safe" doesn't mean shit, if to compensate for demand you start handing out mortgages like candy.

I think calling it gambling is quite charitable. And ofc all the scam artists banks got bailed out.

The stock market in general is joke. There are so many stocks where it's an open secret they are fake. Like the Ruble, Tesla and most crypto currencies. The stock market is a world of make believe, where any random decision can change everything. It still fascinates me that the second trump won with his tarifs on EVERYTHING, the stock market grew. What's next? "Company CEO starts randomly shooting all his employees, stocks reach all time high!"

  • The more I see this unfold the more I understand why Trump won. (This is in no way me supporting Trump, the guy deserves the worst this world has to offer!)

Anyways, the establishment and dems are a bunch of toothless liars! If I was some poor chap doing my best to just stay alive in the US I likely also would've have lost hope in my vote mattering. Legally speaking, it quite literally doesn't. The dems regularly shitting on the primaries is a great example of this (and ofc the electoral collage).

Nobody in politics cares about the people. After the 2008 crash, both the reps and dems bailed out all the banks responsible for the mass fraud, while the people that suffered barely got shit.

The vast majority of people didn't vote and some voted Trump out of desperation, wanting any change at all. It's fucking sad.

  • That's rich. "Send your future down the drain while we continue to send scraps." tho even the scraps are gonna run dry soon. Fuck biden. He could have gone down in history as a truly great leader, got everything handed to him on a silver platter, but clearly, he wishes to walk in Chamberlin's shoes.

Honestly I'm ashamed, especially as a European, we should be doing so much more. We haven't learned anything from the great wars... We're experiencing a "what if Czechoslovakia fought back" scenario, we can end it right there in Ukraine. But no...

  • Really?

  • He's just a dumb attention seeker. Of course he's gonna shit on the most over-engineered thing in existence. Tho the context of the shitty engineering his companies do makes this even funnier. What a loser.

  • Nah fam, I didn't know how much of a thing it was until I went to the states. Every time there's a subject to learn in school or some new policy, it must have an acronym, bonus points if it also features a flow chart guide for dummies.

  • Assuming we can get AGI. So far there's been little proof we're any closer to getting an AI that can actually apply logic to problems that aren't popular enough to be spelled out a dozen times in the dataset it's trained on. Ya know, the whole perfect scores on well known and respected collage tests, but failing to solve slightly altered riddles for children? It being literally incapable of learning new concepts is a pretty major pitfall if you ask me.

I'm really sick and tired of this "we just gotta make a machine that can learn and then we can teach it anything" line. It's nothing new, people were saying this shit since fucking 1950 when Alan Turing wrote it in a paper. A machine looking at an unholy amount of text and evaluation based on a new prompt, what is the most likely word to follow, IS NOT LEARNING!!! I was sick of this dilema before LLMs were a thing, but now it's just mind numbing.

  • I strangely find my self praising apple lately. Not because they're good or because I stopped hating their guts. But just because microsoft has become SOO SHIT!

Apple has also cough up in many regards, tho I'm talking mainly phones here now.

While I swear by Linux, I'm now more likely to recommend MacOS over Windows to people.

  • I find it amazing, how every time I see a git GUI I'm completely lost and that it's always completely different, considering it's the same app underneath and that app doesn't have THAT many different functions.

  • Honestly no idea why someone would go around a completely unknown menu in a new unknown editor and randomly click things with caution completely out the window. Not having a copy or trying a blank project, not even reading any messages. I mean even if we don't know it's a nuke button, God knows what other edits it could do to your code without you knowing.

This goes beyond rookie mistake. This is something 12 year old me would do. Same with the issue page being 90% swear words.
