The majority here don't share your views when it comes to Meta and that's a good thing. If you want to see what they do then there's nothing stopping you signing up a free account on Threads and having at it.

Meta will do whatever it wants to do in the fediverse space regardless of who federates with them because they are a muli-million user platform with the money to support it. The users of Lemmy are small fry compared to that.

I use it medically prescribed by a doctor to help with my ex-military PTSD and chronic pain issues. I used to take 3 different crazy ass medications before that which turned me into a vegetable 24/7 so this is much better. I don't get couch locked and stop once I feel the effects.

Yes but you can access content from both of them from the other. Just browse to it or add the communities from the other to your subscriptions.

I'm hoping one day we'll have federated account management as part of the Fediverse so that you don't have to spin up a whole Lemmy instance and can create communities that are attached to that.
