  • "I caught my 12 year old son playing Minecraft so I smashed all his things and beat him. Was I wrong?"

That was roughly one of the so-called questions I saw on Quora recently. Absolute garbage.

  • If Lemmy supported images in it's RSS feeds I'd never leave my client.

  • There's always Voat you can try, it should line up better for you.

  • You're giving them too much credit. Although some are altruistic, many are greedy power hungry scabs who's entire life revolves around holding whatever merger power they can over others.

I stepped up once and made a sub for a small niche game I liked when none existed. The devs noticed, reached out me with free copies of the game to give away on the sub and everything. Then some power mods got wind of it, made their own subreddit for the game and completely overwhelmed my little sub though cross promotion via their other subs and with their army of alt accounts too.

Most of them don't want help, their cries are just to elicit sympathy and get free stuff out of it. Power mods are the scourge of Reddit.

  • I saw one today on that Reddit bot instance of Lemmy titled:

"I like the smell of my vagnina after my boyfriend cums in me."

I'm not sure if it's bored teenagers, bots or straight up dumb asses that are posting that garbage, nor why.

  • All the shit that caused my PTSD.

Aside from that, the one time I complained about a nurse and later she took me to a room under false pretences for "treatment" only to pull out a large kitchen knife and try to convince me to use it on myself. I'm not that kind of nuts though fortunately.

The hospital "investigated" and found nothing wrong of cause.

  • There's a nsfw toggle opion in your profile settings, not sure how well it works though. There might be one in your app to for any communities that are nsfw by default.

This one one area we definitely need some better controls for though. I suddenly had a few penises show up in my feed the other day which isn't typically content I'm after.

  • I was browsing though that instance and realized I haven't seen a blatenly fake and terrible post in weeks when I came across one that was titled along the lines of "I love the smell of my vagnina after my boyfriend cums in me".

Holy crap the posting quality on Reddit nose dived over the years and I didn't notice.

  • On the plus side they're quite open and honest about what exactly they're doing. Its just up to people to decide if they want it or not.

  • Yeah but barely, just look at the releases. It's all bug fixes as if it's on maintenance mode.

  • Go and plant your crops on someone else's land and see how you go.

  • The comments are interesting and yeah, it's very much looking like one of those passion projects that'll never see the light of day at this rate.

  • I currently use Microsoft Todo, aside from ethical or moral reasons what is a good reason to switch to something like this?

  • I like Wiki.js but updates seem slow and not all that feature packed either. It's had placeholders in the admin side of things for what seems like forever.

  • Pfft what sort of peasants would drink regular water from some boomer water delivery company? You just piss out most of that and it completely goes to waste.

Watr monitors your vitals though your smartwatch and alerts you at the exact moment when to drink to achieve premium hydration. Their unique hydration formula tastes exactly like water but provides 69% better hydration because the molecules have been radioactively enhanced though the secret Watr process that lies at the heart of every bottle you drink.

Y'all need to get with the times man.

  • That brings a whole new set of problems with it unfortunately, including the huge amount of scammers and ponzi schemes in that space where you don't want your users exposed to it.

KBin for one does have a Cardano module for it but understandably the dev isn't interested in using it themselves.

  • Interesting that you say people should grow their own food yet want to prevent them from having the means to readily do so like this. It's sad really and kinda evil.

  • I'd suggest to stop using the platform entirely.
