Yeah, hyperfocusing on the amount entirely misses the genocidal actions and intent. Even if the numbers weren't accurate, that wouldn't change anything (if anything, it's a huge undercount)

Oh there are for sure anti-semites who verneer their anti-semitism with anti-israel language, like Candace Owens. They also can't help themselves but conflate Jewish people with Israelis, as if they are all the same and monolithic, at least in my experience.

Of course they also support the same kind of fascist ideologies and policies, they just try to hide their anti-semitism as anti-israel. The difference between pro-israel anti-semites and anti-israel anti-semites is that the pro-israel ones want to deport all Jewish people to Israel, while the anti-israel anti-semites don't want Jewish people to exist at all.

Hasidic Jewish people, while small in number, are still the largest Anti-zionist group in Israel. Zionism uses Judaism as a shield, deflecting criticism against it's fascist actions as anti-semitic, which in-turn raises the amount of genuine anti-semitism experienced by Jewish people worldwide, due to that false conflation of Judaism and Zionism. Zionism started as a fascist settler colonialist project and had the support of anti-semitic Christian Zionists throughout Europe. They even collaborated with Nazi Germany with the Haavara Agreement. Prominent Jewish people at the time, such as Albert Einstein and Hannah Arendt warned of the fascist actions they witnessed of zionism in 1948. Of course the ethnic cleansing of the native Palestinian population goes back to the founders of zionism and started around the 1920s even before the Nakba.

As to why, fundamentally it's due to supremacy and dehumanization. Zionism has dehumanized Palestinians since the start, and it's been ongoing for generations. Those progressive gains were won by grassroots opposition fighting for labor, civil, and LGBT rights against the US government that historically repressed those rights.

The foreign policy of the US has always been about Colonialism, imperialism, and Neo-colonialism; prioritizing regime changes propping up dictators to open up the exploitation of countries to the interests of US Corporations.

The point is cruely and supremacy. Everyone knows torture doesn't work when it comes to extracting information, even the Nazis knew that much. What they want is to instill fear and terror into every Palestinian, in an attempt to bring the entire population into despair and cripple the resistance. Israel was founded on ethnic cleansing and has never stopped being an Apartheid. Zionism has always been a fascist ideology. Zionism is not Judaism. The leaders of other Arab or Muslim nations do not represent Palestine or Palestinians. There is no point to conflate either of those other than to justify Israel's Settler Colonialism. Land grabbing is antithetical to peace. Peace requires the end of the Apartheid. Unless the violence of supremacy and Settler-Colonialism ends, anti-colonialist violence is inevitable as people fight by any means possible for their survival, humanity, and human rights.
