I feel like when I do a good workout I need about an hour MORE sleep to recover. If you are getting less, I feel like that will cause a significant struggle.
Try the Wendler 5/3/1 weightlifting stuff. Someone on reddit made it into a spreadsheet somewhere.
Basically, don't try so hard lifting weights. You go in the first day and put an estimate in for your 1 rep max, then that day it gives you a workout and the last set you do as many as you can until failure, then you record the number.
From there, the spreadsheet calculates all the rest of your workouts with a gentle progression. His philosophy is basically, leave one rep in you (besides that testing day) for the heavy sets. Then with the BBB variation you do a ton of reps of a really light weight to build a strong foundation. He suggests a "training max" of 85-90%. Meaning there will never be a time the spreadsheet asks you to lift your entire max.
Since I've used that I haven't had any injuries at all, and I don't get super sore (just lightly sore, which I kind of like). Progression is slower, but I think that has to happen because muscles seem to develop faster than tendons adapt to the extra strain, which leads to injuries.
My wife and I were fine with a small wedding, but her parents wanted to invite all their friends to a lavish event. So they booked a very expensive place with the food and told us that was their contribution. We just had to pay for everything else. The photographer, the DJ, the cake, miscellaneous expenses.
It all added up. I think we ended up paying around the same as they did, which was approximately double what we had budgeted for our small wedding we wanted. So four times more overall.
But we got nice wedding photos and they got their extravagant party with their friends.
I think they mean more like "hey guys let me tell you about my new favorite shirt. Super great quality from China. Absolutely love it. They paid me to say that though". Maybe don't buy that shirt online based on that review alone.
I'm not against gun ownership. I'm against zero gun ownership regulation. Requiring background checks seems like a no brainer but we cannot even get to that part.
The next I would suggest is a weekend long course on the proper use, safety, cleaning, and storage of your weapon before you are allowed to buy one.
Finally, I think we should have that class reupped every 2 years to keep your license to own the firearm.
It's a dangerous thing to have around and most good gun owners would support some of this, even if it is a hassle. It could be made fun too though. Free ammo for some range practice or something. Maybe a few for the class covers that, I don't know. Consider it a meetup with other people with similar interests.
I was raised protestant, but not presbyterian. Still, I haven't heard a lot of excommunication coming from any protestant group. That is mostly a Catholic thing I think, with some of that happening with maybe Puritans (I'm not that familiar with all of them) back around Salem Witch Trial days.
Pharmacist here. I definitely work the full 40 hours basically non stop and... It's awful. I don't think this is how humans are meant to live. If you have a job that absolutely requires the full 40 to be 100% effort, the rest of your life suffers. I believe the reason so many people are able to do 40+ hours is the downtime that's built into most jobs.
I did 30 hours as a pharmacist for years and it was AMAZING. Like the job was still hard, but it felt like I had a portion of my life that was hard. Now that I'm stuck back to 40 it feels like I have a hard life. I barely have energy to give to my 1 year old baby on days off because I am recovering from the day before. I do the best I can but man was I in a better place at 30 hours.
What I'm wondering is, we have made strides to synthetically make milk with the use of yeast to make the proteins. So theoretically, we could make any milk. Why are we making cows milk this way?

Trump has a very big microphone and a very loyal fan base. If he complains enough like this, it's possible someone will do him a "favor" and get rid of the annoyance of the "liar" they feel is defaming their favorite person.
Like the anti vaccine movement, many have forgotten the horrors of the past and feel like they can just discard the things that got us to where we are.
I think the idea is, most people could build a doghouse with no training, but you need planning and education to plan/build a skyscraper. If you want to write your own app at home, maybe no software planning is really required. Keep nailing in workarounds. But if you want to build a huge system, you need to do a bit more than workarounds. You need a good plan from the start to make it all efficient and in a manner others can contribute to the code base.
That said, I feel like just having workarounds is really common even in large industry settings. Maybe I'm wrong though. I'm more of a home doghouse builder type myself.

First person, and an interesting note. I was experimenting with lucid dreaming for awhile, with some very minor success. One thing that ALWAYS woke me up though, was doing something I had never done in real life. I was unable to breathe underwater. The mere attempt would wake me.
Then I got scuba certified in real life, and like magic, I was suddenly able to breathe underwater in my dreams.
It makes me wonder how you think about yourself in real life.
