  • You pay a certain amount a month to Spotify.

A percentage of that goes straight to Spotify’s pockets and the rest goes to what you listen to.

If you listen to music all day, and then have a white noise playlist at night, then half of that amount goes to just the one stream and the other half is split between all the others labels of the music you listen to. Without that white noise playlist the music labels would make twice as much money from you.

  • All of his games have this convoluted story that is supposed to be wacky af. Could it be better, yes? But you can’t really say it wasn’t expected.

Also saying that Death Stranding is Prime simulator is reductive af. I’m not even in the camp that the game is amazing. Heck I don’t even know if it’s good. However I do know that it’s interesting af and I’ll definitely recommend it to people. It’s such a different “game” that more people should experience at least to see if it resonates with them.

I’m very happy that I played it.

Plus that sound track alone is worth it for some moments in the game. Literal chills.

  • Honestly the worst about CP2077 wasn’t even the bugs. I also pre ordered it and while the performance was kinda shit and there was a bug or two, it was still playable. Yes we shouldn’t let it slip but unfortunately it’s also kind of the standard these days.

However the game was shallow af and not at all matching what we had been told for years. The whole, create your own story from scratch? Yea you choose some background option, have a 1 min cutscene and then that’s basically it. We had been told that would be hours of gameplay depending on the option and it was a short cutscene.

The whole city was supposed to feel completely alive and you were told that you would be able to do whatever you wanted. That wasn’t close to true either. Plenty of stuff like that.

Luckily I had bought it on GOG to support CDPR because I had loved the Witcher games. Was able to refund it entirely and never locked back. Not even looking to play it anytime soon and maybe ever.

  • it honestly seems better suited for those tasks because it really doesn't need to know anything that you'd have to tell it otherwise.

The code is already there, so it can get literally all the info that it needs, and it is quite good at grasping what the function does, even if sometimes it lacks the context of the why. But that's not relevant for unit tests, and for documentation that's where the user comes in. It's also why it's called copilot, you still make the decisions.

  • I’m also having a good time with copilot

Considering asking my company to pay for the subscription as I can justify that it’s worth it.

Yes many times it is wrong but even if it it’s only 80% correct at least I get a suggestion on how to solve an issue. Many times it suggest a function and the code snippet has something missing but I can easily fix it or improve it. Without I would probably not know about that function at all.

I also want to start using it for documentation and unit tests. I think there it’s where it will really be useful.

Btw if you aren’t in the chat beta I really recommend it

  • It can go from great to absolute junk.

But sometimes I need some weird terminal command and it’s weirdly good at it.

Also I get a buddy that can put log messages like “AAAAAAAA” all over the place so at least I don’t go crazy on my own

  • Sure.

Western countries are under pressure by their own population to fight climate change. For that they need to implemente measures that reduce their impact, which most governments would rather not do as it usually comes with some “negative consequences”. Now, if they can make the problem smaller by having other countries change their way of living instead, it’s a win for them, because problem gets smaller, pressure decreases (or more realistically increases less) and they can focus on making lines go up and getting their votes.

So I don’t think that they will have a big incentive in keeping it private. Of course private companies will, but that’s a different story.

Hopefully that made sense. It’s late here xD

  • Due to the environmental impacts they would have a strong incentive to not do that.

Not because they care that much about the climate, but if they can make a significant percentage of continents like Africa and Asia reduce their food production emissions they they themselves would need to reduce theirs less

  • I mean it’s also unlikely af for the drivers that you mentioned. Other than Perez, Yuki or Ric no one is close to a Red Bull car.

I took your question as an hypothetical focusing purely on driver quality and not on the feasibility of them getting to a Red Bull.

Based on that interpretation your question has no answer, because no driver that is close to a Red Bull can get anywhere near Max.
