  • Is there already an active lemmy community for Hades? If so I need the link asap.

Will get this day 1. Long time fan of supergiant games and Hades was a masterpiece so I’m excited to be part of Hades II from the start.

  • Of course, informing them before take off would have been ever better. But then the plane still needs to fly, even if empty.

And the passengers can still get compensation, maybe even more than the refund of the flight so I’m sure that for many of the passengers this was the better deal.

  • Read the article if they had not taken off at that time they wouldn’t have made the return flight in time (Zurich airport has no landings past midnight). So not flying means that 111 people would not make it to Bilbao (without their bags) and a similar amount of people wouldn’t make it to Zurich (with their bags).

Personally, I would rather take the flight and get my bag a day or two later. Annoying af yes but at least you get some compensation to get some clothes.

If half the people are flying home it’s not even that big of a problem.

  • Bladur’s gate 3 is awesome but if you can wait, do so and you will have a much more seamless experience in the near future once more patches come out.

    My recommendation is the following.

NieR Automata. It’s a masterpiece of a game with innovation all over the place. Trust me, it’s much more of a JRPG with some hot chicks. Go in blind and you will have an amazing experience.

On a similar note, Death Stranding. The story is less cohesive and honestly as a game it isn’t as good either but I still maintain that it is a game that everyone must try at least once. It’s not one of the best games I’ve played, by far but I am 100% happy that I played it.

Last recommendation is Hades. Flawless game with incredible amounts of polish.

P.S. all these games have AMAZING soundtracks

  • I’m halfway through RDR2 and the gameplay is boring af. Ok not all gameplay, mostly the quests. The world is amazing, and it’s quite immersive indeed but 90% of the quests are, go here, shoot some guys, come back.

  • Maybe because have a gigantic money head start is basically a must and not something that the mere mortal can have because of the actual thing that they are criticizing it?

You can be rich, put that money somewhere where someone “manages” it for you, fuck off to a desert island for 5 years and when you come back you are richer than before. And you didn’t do jack shit for that money. Do you think that is fair? And most importantly where do you think that money “is coming from”? The answer is that it is skimming from all the hardworking people that generate profit for the company while only getting paid a small fraction of that.

  • Playing BG3 with my gf. We’re having a blast.

Alone I’m playing Motorsport Manager. And old game and nothing like football manager that I played a lot in the past. It’s not great, it’s basic and I know I will only do a couple of seasons but it has been keeping me up at night and going to bed late so that counts as something. I’m definitely having fun and it’s a chill game.

A couple of months ago I was playing RDR2 but I stopped about halfway and haven’t gone back to it. The game is ridiculously good looking and the world is great but honestly the gameplay is such a slog. Most quests are basic af. I wonder how it got this much praise tbh

  • Definitely get a decent 1440p monitor with high refresh rate and GSync and then you are set. If you get it used it probably won’t even be that expensive (that’s how I got mine around 2 years ago).

Monitors last a long time so it’s not something that you will just toss, and a 3070 with 1080p is such a waste imo

  • Oh yea definitely. I missed the voting (didn’t even know about this community before) but I had never read a book such as this one. I bought it because I really had enjoyed The Martian and especially the style of the author as I’m an engineer (Artemis was alright) but then it stayed on the shelf for a few months.

One day I pick it up and it basically didn’t last a week total and this included my girlfriend reading it as well (I think she took like 2 days). And we’re definitely not power readers.

Literally couldn’t put the book down.

His next book can’t come quick enough.

If anyone else has recommendations on similar books let me know. We really like that he goes through the thought process of the characters when solving the problems, even with some equations and math mixed it. So if you have recommendations based on that ping me.

  • Honestly if you don’t have an SSD save 50$ and get one. Especially for crappier pcs it’s the most significant upgrade you can do and not even for gaming. 10 years ago SSDs were somewhat niche. They were expensive as well. Now I won’t even touch a computer without one basically.
