  • Of all the drivers and you don’t pick the obvious pick?? Lewis Hamilton. I’d also say maybe Alonso and Leclerc.

Lando would put up a better fight than Perez though, but probably not over a whole season. Same with a couple of others.

  • I’m very much on the hate Reddit train but that also happened to me and I think I have an explanation.

I think those delete scripts have a hard time in deleting your posts and comments in subreddits that have since gone private. Then if the subreddit reopens (probably because they were forced by Reddit or something) then all the comments you made there “come back” and it appears that Reddit restored them.

At least when I deleted all the comments in my Reddit account I the checked in a few days and I have a few that came back and they were all from the same subreddit that was private for protest before.

  • you are clearly misunderstanding OP . He isn't complaining that the trinity test focused on it's maker. That is clearly a creative decision that IMO it worked well and I even agree with OP that while the movie is good, it is not amazing or anywhere near perfect.

So what I believe he is saying is that you can focus on Oppie and still have an actual big bang for literally the biggest nuke known to man at the time. I really enjoyed the scene, and how they made it with that silence, but you can't deny that if you take a still or just look at the explosion images it looks like they blew up a medium sized shack.

  • I also have this issue with the comment replies. I.e. if I get a notification of a reply to a comment I made and I click on it, it takes me to the post but not to the comment itself.

Also the notification disappears but after a minute or two it is back.

Maybe you are aware of all this.

    Two more things:

First of all thank you for all the work in developing the app (progress is very apparent)

And lastly what is the app written in? Would love to help if I can.

    Cheers!!

  • It’s the difference between going all out in the third stint or taking it a bit slower.

Depending on the car and driver and track conditions it will depend.

It’s not always softer = faster even for the same amount of laps. Softer tyres don’t last as long AND lose performance faster, so if you could get 15 laps from the soft you probably could do it faster on the mediums.

    Hope that made sense

  • Not an expert here but just because two strategies say that you can for example do 20 laps on hards it doesn’t mean that those 20 laps are at the same pace.

What these graphs can’t include is the degradation of the tyre due do differences in driving style. So for that three stopper the hards are probably better than the stops because you can drive them aggressively for longer than the softs.

When the hards last for 40-46 laps the pace will be much slower and the tyres will need to be looked out after.

  • You know you can sleep at night and work during the day right?

Also napping isn’t sleeping for 8 hours.

You (and a lot of people tbf) need caffeine to stay awake mostly because your body gets used to it and then can’t function without it. Plenty of people do just fine without caffeine or other substances. It’s not magic and we’re not super humans or anything. We just don’t drink caffeine multiple times a day every day

  • It’s not. I read this in any post here and it just doesn’t make any sense.

r/place made the rounds the previous times outside of Reddit. It showed what an engaged community can do, and it was beautiful (especially the first one). This one will only make it clear how much of the active community is against these changes. And it’s making it much more obvious than ever.

Yes people are using the site but Reddit won’t make bank on this. Most of the people protesting are probably using scripts and so on pc, and as such for sure using ad block as well. That’s no revenue for Reddit. Even the official mobile app can’t load it, so people aren’t even using that.

Yes they can boast about having more engagement and activity for a few days but that’s not worth it in this case at all. Reddit shots themselves in (the other foot).

  • I mean even if they aren’t your thing you should check out his videos.

I remember watching a 20 or so min video on an antique toaster and since then I’m also pissed at the inferior toasters of today.

    His videos are gold.
