Yes, her government did an amazing job managing Covid, and yes, she represented a very different style of leadership.

Her government also massively failed us on a number of issues. If she'd actually stated how she felt regarding the cannabis referendum, it likely would have passed, and they totally failed to address the housing crisis, child poverty, and a number of other issues they campaigned on. They simply failed to show decisive leadership on a huge number of issues, and paid the price at the polls.

And if they're not used to having an artificially created traffic jam on their street, honestly, I think that's fair enough.

However, some UK and Irish "traffic calming" schemes, particularly involving road narrowings, are viewed as extremely hostile and have been implicated directly in death and injury to cyclists and pedestrians.

Trust the British to fuck it up. One issue with a chicane is, if there's no oncoming traffic, you can use both lanes and just not slow down.

Did you actually read the article? They've created a traffic jam, nobody knows what's going on, and the worst part is, if there's no other traffic, you could still fang it though the chicanes from what I can see.

They allow two way traffic, slow people down, and will last longer than a bunch of plastic crap stuck to the pavement.

It's definitely reminiscent of their "explain yourself" demands, isn't it?

Considering we're just past half way through their term, and Labour haven't released any policy or started campaigning, it's pretty bad.

The pandemics of days gone by, in which a massive chunk of the population died, are no longer in living memory, and I feel those lessons will need to be re-learned the hard way.
