  • The more Star wars content that comes out the more annoyed I get. There are trillions people living on millions of planets but let's keep looking at these 40 people, and make sure they visit tatooine at some point. Let's see something new, anything, please.

  • USA is a multi-party democracy, and as such laws and programs need to be approved by representatives with opposing views. Currently, republican governors are refusing to accept free federal money to feed children. There is absolutely no way they care about giving the homeless homes. I absolutely agree with you that this is an "orphan crushing machine" issue but unless the GOP implodes we're not going to have such progressive policies.

  • Same with jellyfish, crawfish, and to a lesser extent sea gulls. Now jellies, crawdads, gulls (they are not all by the sea).

A ton of birds are about to be renamed too, they are renaming all birds named after people.

  • I had this happen to me. Bought a 980ti warehouse deal, came in a 980ti box, plugged it in and it was a 980. Amazon took it back without issue. I'm assuming that I received a fraudulent return, and I'd assume the same thing with this 4090. Especially because this was in a return pallet deal, meaning, you know, it was returned to Amazon. We have no idea what Amazon actually sold in the first place.

  • I just looked at realestate.com for greece, it's really bad. I'm probably not searching right but i looked at a few dozen "houses" up to 250k euro and they are legit ruins. Also 90% of the photos are terrible. I also suspect most of these listings are scams, I swear I saw the same houses a few times. I did see some really gnarly looking trees though, those would be cool to look at from your caved in house.

Ok, all the bogus listings are 1 bed 1 bath, setting it to 2 bed 1 bath minimum gets such better results. There are some really neat houses for 100k-150k euro. Lookit this one: https://www.realestate.com.au/international/gr/neapoli-crete-120082459627//

  • I love my HP printer. Always prints when I ask it to every few months, uses third party toner, 0 issues whole time I've had it. Of course it's a laserjet from 2004 so it's built a bit different. I wouldn't recommend a new HP though lol.

  • They don't even design their sound to be good in all theaters, just ones with "top of the line" audio systems, which means the audio is likely to suck if you go to your local AMC or other chain.

Every theater I've gone to for probably near 10 years has sucked. Something is always fucked up. Audio unbalanced or way too loud, projector just slightly unfocused, blown out, or off center. They must not hire a professional in any capacity anymore, just minimum wage teenagers. I made a mid/low tier home theater and I'd rather watch any movie at my house, because the video and audio is going to be better. It's actually ridiculous.

  • You are using real logic, you need to use fantasy space retcon logic.

On open space ports, ships suck the atmosphere back in to not lose air using a gravity generator, which would cause the cape to blow towards the ship. Expect this to be a small plot point in "The Mandolorian and Grogu."

  • I like owls but they are not used for Falconry because they have poor lateral thinking (Owl knows how to jump to the glove inside, take them outside owl knows nothing) and because we have to follow all hunting laws (can't hunt after dark). But for people who can hunt after dark, using an owl sucks because it's dark and you can't see anything that happens. Most falconers just love to watch their birds fly and it's hard to see them fly in the dark!

Harris's hawks are one of the smartest hawk species but I'm sure ravens are smarter. I think they've gotten HHs to use a simple tool but they are not as proficient as ravens. But in my observations it only takes one single bad experience for most raptors to never want that experience to happen again. And on the flip side, if they get rewarded doing something once they will remember that for a long time
