They have no reason to lie but you think they planted it, hmmm.
Forgive me, it looks like you walked into our hypothetical discussion and took it at face value. But that is my fault for using a double negative.
Overall, it's not like we don't have verifiable evidence Hamas planned a invasion and executed it.
We don't exactly need more proof they were responsible.
Though if you want me to be honest, I think lying is more in human nature then telling the truth. We will lie for something as simple as winning an online discussion, or as heartfelt to save the people we love.
I don't like the evidence because it is evidence that is easily created. Anyone with an A4 type printer can take a picture of "Plans" and present it as evidence. I want hard evidence that I can crack my teeth on, not this soggy bread evidence.
It would be hard to say what Israel is lying about in this situation. Overall, it's not like we don't have verifiable evidence Hamas planned a invasion and executed it.
We don't exactly need more proof they were responsible.
But my overall problem has to do with the fact that anyone could have printed these documents and labeled them "Top Secret" and "found" them on enemy combatants. Specifically anyone with an A4 type color printer.
I don't think Israel has a reason to lie about this, but I will state the obvious that this evidence is paper thin in comparison to the live videos of hostages.
The problem is that they are based on two false assumptions.
The IDF today dropped leaflets over Beit Lahia in the Gaza Strip calling on people to leave their homes and go to shelters
There are no bomb shelters in Palestine or place to run to. If there were, Hamas would take them over. They are literally sardines. Unless Egypt will take refugees, so far that looks like a no.
The leaflet does not specify humanitarian corridors or how they can flee.
Forgive me, but I find it hard to believe that our 2 billion budget for Israel, combined with modern range detectors cannot produce a result that doesn't require us to boil/roast civilians alive. But that just might be the optimistic side of me.
I am not saying you are not right, just that if we really wanted to put our heads together to find a solution, I think we could have come up with something that doesn't border the literal definition of a war crime.
If we were talking about an elected democracy with elections every 4 years.... I might be inclined to agree, but the last time the people of Palestine got to vote on their government, was in 2005.
They haven't been able to elect a new leader since 2008.
And I imagine they aren't too keen right now to hold an election.
But I support the evidence to my case that the undersea cable is made of.... quite a durable material. That would be extremely hard to cut with and sealife teeth, and flexible enough that it wouldn't catch on just anything.
The oil pipline is a whole other matter, because unlike the cable, it is huge and made of highly durable materials like steel and is extensively robust. The Force required to move something like that would have to be a cargo transport. Not impossible.... just extremely unlikely it wasn't deliberate.
Now when you take into account the durability of the cable and the pipeline, and the fact that both failed, at the same time. Not to mention, we still do not know if both of these things are in the same place. Also possible.
I present my evidence that the likelihood of such an event being accidental, without human intervention to be..... astronomical. I will now accept any criticism.
Though outside a cargo transport, I cannot imagine anything that could do that kind of damage with an anchor alone.
However, if this is true, then a person in charge of the investigation would have a lead, he would just have to triangulate cargo ship transponders that were over that part of the ocean at that time the pipeline was showing failures and you have which ship could be responsible.
That being said, if no ship transponders were active over that part of the Ocean, we are now in deeply suspicious territory.
The cable on the other hand would be really hard to catch just because of the way anchors are designed. Won't say it isn't possible. Just extremely unlucky if it did happen that way.
On Monday, Gasgrid Finland said the only possible reason for the pressure drop in the Balticconnector pipeline is a hole in the pipe, which has only been in use for a few years. It could be out of use for months due to the leak
In addition, there is damage to the communication cable between the countries.
So we can rule out natural events. Not only because the pipeline is so new, but also because the communication cable was also cut at the same time in a localized area. On their own, the odd would be on the same as winning the lottery twice in a row.
49: Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as
deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the
territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country,
occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive.
Nevertheless, the Occupying Power may undertake total or
partial evacuation of a given area if the security of the population or
imperative military reasons so demand. Such evacuations may not
involve the displacement of protected persons outside the bounds of
the occupied territory except when for material reasons it is
impossible to avoid such displacement. Persons thus evacuated shall
be transferred back to their homes as soon as hostilities in the area
in question have ceased.
The Occupying Power undertaking such transfers or evacuations
shall ensure, to the greatest practicable extent, that proper
accommodation is provided to receive the protected persons, that
the removals are effected in satisfactory conditions of hygiene,
health, safety and nutrition, and that members of the same family
are not separated.
The Protecting Power shall be informed of any transfers and
evacuations as soon as they have taken place.
The Occupying Power shall not detain protected persons in an
area particularly exposed to the dangers of war unless the security
of the population or imperative military reasons so demand.
The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its
own civilian population into the territory it occupies.
I don't hate Israel, in fact I think it is in America's best interest to protect our spy network assets. Though, I will not stand for people making misleading statements about war crimes. We can do better.
Obviously he cares about law and order because if his citizens don't do that, or see their leader encouraging rape and rebellion, it might give the people of China a rebel streak and no one in power in China wants that.
On the other hand, China is right in the middle of two wars. Which for a weapons production industry is a gold rush.
If Xi plays his cards right, it will save his economy.
I imagine you look into someone's life deep enough, there is eventually something you are going to disagree ethically about.
I think that is why it is important to have the conversation, rather then pretend the issue doesn't exist. Because that is what Israel has been doing for 20 years. It is also why the people of Israel and Palestine have bodies in the streets.
This is 20 years of inaction boiling over into one single event. We either learn the lesson, or continue in ignorance.
Several of these rape victims appear to have been later executed. Others were taken to Gaza. In photographs released online, you can see several paraded through the city’s streets, blood gushing from between their legs.
I thought I had seen the worst of what humanity has to offer.
Now I imagine the Israeli president will use this like a smoke screen, not only to criticize reservists, but also to hide his criminal intent.
This also helps Saudi Arabia and Syria, as they will be able to hide their military operations under the guise that they are only acting on a more active Israel.
This situation only helps the people in power. It does nothing for the civilians who are going to face the pushback from this. Or already have.
So does every other subscription "service.", but we don't talk about the vileness of a Netflix subscription do we?
No guarantees on pay, benefits, or work rules
This is just a lie. I cannot find another angle to it.
Even without a union, there is no guarantees on pay, benefits, or work rules. So the point is moot. It's like saying "Anything is possible" and walking away like you said something sagely.
Typically must go through union instead of your supervisor or manager
Most people wouldn't understand why this matters unless you've been apart of a job where your manager has defended you against your supervisors. Very few people have had this happen, but the idea is that you will have people that DEFEND YOU from your supervisors getting power hungry.
It's not even like your supervisor can't bring accusations against you, it just means that complaints would have to have merit.
