  • I mean, they not only change things in your body and meet the definition of a drug. But make far more of a change in your body than say Tylenol, ibuprofen, or nicotine. They impare your judgment more than weed or alcohol. Maybe less long term effects than alcohol, as long as you don't kill someone in the process since you perception of reality is impared. It makes perfect sense that it is considered a drug. Now, whether they want to legalize it with stipulations to keep people around you safe (i.e., regulate the drug) is a different discussion.

  • I can see what they are trying to do, but this doesn't make the Republicans look bad. It makes the system look fucked and we all realize the dystopia we live in with a senile idiot on both sides of the ballot. Biden is a senile sock puppet to any corporate money anyone can make with him and Trump is a senile narcissist POS racist bigot.

  • You passing out from huffing on a vape is your own, wierd, unique reaction to nicotine due to your own misuse. I can pass out if I huff a glass of water and that would likely kill me. You can slam 20 energy drinks and make your heart explode, you can eat too much food and die, you can drink too much alcohol and get alcohol poisoning. That is all equivalent to someone who apparently has zero nicotine tolerance taking rips on a vape and being mad they got light headed. That is your own fault. That being said, I am totally down with legal weed and illegal nicotine, however, weed impairs your judgment for hours, nicotine only makes you a bit light headed for a minute, and only if you don't have a tolerance. I say this as I rip my 12% vape with zero effect.

  • Firefox plus superagent. Superagent is an extention that automatically applies your cookie setting to those prompts and you don't see them. I now reject all and haven't seen a pop up since installing. I can't vouch for its security though. I am pretty new to Firefox, but it seems to work.

  • In 10 years you will have thousands of dollars in makita tools because hey, that hammer drill you needed was only $110, better get another battery too, your old ones are getting tired. 🤷‍♂️ and you will always have makita tools, forever. Even if you hate them.

  • It is whatever you buy a battery and charger for first. Then you are unwilling to forfeit that battery to just buy another tool. So you get another tool of the same brand, even if you aren't happy with the previous. Then at that point, you've gone to far. You've got several hundred dollars in batteries you would have to give up just to switch. It is the most blatant example of the sunken cost fallacy.

Ryobi, specifically has entry level tools (a basic drill) that come with a charger and battery for cheaper than you can even buy a battery by itself. When you're young and broke and all you need to do is hang some curtains or something you get it. But really, it is just a seed for your future "house" that you belong to.
