  • Yeah Israeli leaders are planning and praising the explicit targeted murder of citizens. Netanyahu has supported Hamas for years because it delegitimizes the Palestinian state (and that source is The Times of Israel in case anyone thinks I'm being biased)

It boggles my mind that so many people don't see the far right Israeli government (that is so closely allied with America) is copying the George Bush War on Terror playbook.

I absolutely agree Hamas is a terrorist organization, but what the Israeli government is doing is far more sinister and evil. They're just playing the long game and hiding behind "collateral damage" so they can further their apartheid.

  • Because it's not all advertisers leaving, there will still be ads just from less scrupulous companies. And because Elon is pushing the site to be more right wing, probably more right wing advertisers. Some users won't like that

  • Steamdb is useful for a couple different reasons. It shows you more stats than just the number of players, it also shows the price history and what's on sale (you can filter only the games at a historic low price for the best deals), when a game was released and last updated (great to see if it's an abandoned game), some other cool stuff that players might like to check before buying a game.

I usually go there during the seasonal sales and it helps save me money after seeing that most games have been that price before so it can probably wait until I actually have money haha

  • There's also the kind of malware that uses your PC to mine crypto without you knowing. And especially back in the day there were plenty of trolls just infecting computers with malware to slow them down for fun. And since malware is just software, it's all gonna be made differently so there probably plenty that just has bad code.

  • Being social media, the bar for entry is practically non existent. So yeah, there are 12-25 year olds spreading misinformation. But also, being social media, there are plenty of very intelligent and honest people who provide real news with sources. The problem isn't really tiktok specifically, just a lack of media literacy and social media

  • Well they ported it to the switch and it's one of the larger games on the Steam Deck (highly rated, verified, and iirc it was playable not long after the Deck's release) so they might actually be able to keep extending the life of the game for a while longer and keep making sales.

I've actually had it in my library for a while but haven't gotten into it because my life is too busy for video games right now. But with official mod support... maybe I can find some extra time somewhere lol

  • What's excessive and what's not is not clear

Maybe not to you. But when the Israeli government says they bomb a hospital because there's a "suspected Hamas headquarters" in it, you blindly trust them. We have no reason to distrust the people saying they definitely did not just commit countless war crimes despite other countries saying they did /s

I'm sure the over 4,000 children that have died were suspected Hamas leaders too.

  • State policy is made up of the opinions of those in power. They're not going to put in their state policy "we want to ethnically cleanse Palestine" but you can use some critical thinking, read the opinions of those in the government, and see that is their intention.

Here, we can be on the same page. No unverified anecdotes. Reading through this, I stand by my claim. Apple goes out of its way to say they care about your privacy, even in their privacy agreement over and over again. But the terms they list are pretty much exactly what you'll find in any legal document from any corporation that handles your data. It's up to them what they do with it, and they said it themselves.
