Well, the guy is technically right that the gas chambers in Auschwitz today are fake - because they are replicas. None of the original chambers and crematories survived the liberation of the camp, so they were rebuilt for the museum based on the designs and blueprints the nazis had in their extensive document archive.

As for NATO, it's to ensure western imperialism stays intact. The US is the main beneficiary, but western Europe participates because they also profit from brutal exploitation of the global south.

That just brings into question how NATO is a threat to Russia then? The only way that would be true is that either a) Russia sees them as imperialist competition, or b) the threat is that Russia can't attack its neighbors without retribution.

Because they want to become a global power once again. That is their dream. They want to be imperialists themselves, but unfortunately for them, they have failed to do so. In the past decades they have poked their noses into Africa and the Middle East, with some success. But simultaneously they have lost their grip on regions they previously considered to be under their imperialist umbrella. It started with Georgia, which they solved with violence. Next it was Ukraine, and then Syria. And then all the unrest in Belarus. They got spooked that their imperialist dream was failing, so they went in to change the regime in Ukraine. But that didn't work out as they planned. And to top that, they also lost their foothold in Syria completely. And now, just recently, they are losing Azerbaijan too.

Honestly, it is to protect US geopolitical interests in Europe. Making Europe depend on the US for its defense. But it is not that bad of a deal for Europe, as it keeps the peace (in "western" Europe).

That's one of the greatest hooks of the film imo, we the audience want to believe he was innocent, but if looking at the case objectively, he could have been guilty as well. I would even say it was probable. Andy even admits he went to confront his wife, armed and intoxicated, but claims he fell asleep on the driveway, while some other guy went into the house and did the killings. With the same type of bullets his gun used, which also mysteriously disappeared from his possession.

Vähän harmillista kyllä olisi syrjäseuduille. Täällä Helsingissä ja muissa isommissa kaupungeissa varmasti nopeastikin nousisi yksityisiä viinikauppoja, joiden valikoima ja palvelutaso vastaisi Alkoa, mutta samaa tuskin tapahtuu syrjemmällä. Kokoomuksen ongelma aina on ollut juuri se että kyseessä on alusta saakka ollut koalitio (Suomalainen puolue + Nuorsuomalainen puolue). Kypäräpapit ja liberaalit samassa puolueessa. Toki yhteisiä asioita löytyy juuri sieltä talouspuolelta, mutta muuten mennään aika laidasta laitaan. Maakunnissa kypäräpappilinja on aikalailla vaadittu jos haluaa kilpailla äänestäjistä Keskustan ja Perussuomalaisten kanssa.

Kristillisdemokraatit historiallisesti toimi Kokoomuksen ankkuripuolueena, eli jos Kokoomus lipesi liikaa liberaaliin suuntaan, se menetti ääniä KD:lle. Tämä asetelma on kuitenkin viime vuosikymmeninä muuttunut, ja ankkurina toimii nykyään enemmän persut (ja ehkä jopa Keskusta).

Aikaisemmin Kokoomuksella oli myös toisen puolen ankkuripuolue, eli Edistyspuolue (myöhemmin Kansanpuolue, ja Liberaalinen kansanpuolue). Se esti vuorostaan liikaa siirtymistä konservatiiviseen suuntaan. LKP kuitenkin lakkasi käytännössä olemasta merkittävä 90-luvun vaihteessa, ja poliittiseen kenttään syntyi liberaali tyhjiö. Vihreät kuitenkin täytti sitä jotenkuten vuosituhannen vaihteessa, ja he toimivat Kokoomuksen ankkurina (joku saattaa muistaa Vihreitä haukutun Kokoomuksen puisto-osastoksi). Vihreissä kuitenkin tapahtui harppaus vasemmalle tässä viime vuosikymmenellä, mikä tarkoittaa että ankkuria ei enää ole. Kokoomuksella ei ole juuri pelkoa menettää ääniä yhtään mihinkään kun oikeistoliberaaleja puolueita ei ole olemassa. Tämä on mahdollistanut siirtymisen konservatiivisempaan suuntaan. Pieniä toiveita ja viitteitä on että Vihreät siirtyy takaisin oikeammalle, ainakin oikeistovihreät ovat nostaneet profiiliaan, mutta aika näyttää. Kuitenkin tällä hetkellä Kokomuksella ei ole liberaalia ankkuria lainkaan.

Onhan noita muita oikeistopuolueita, mutta ei juurikaan kelvollisia vaihtoehtoja. Keskusta on kuitenkin paljon konservatiivisempi kuin Kokoomus ikinä. Persuja on turha edes mainita. Hjalliisen poppoo on lähinnä vitsi.

RKP taas on aikalailla sika säkissä, puolue taipuu mihin vain kunhan eturyhmien asiat toteutetaan. Eva Biaudetiin henkilöityvä Nej-liberalismi on siellä osittain valloillaan, mikä on aika kaukana siitä mitä liberalismin pitäisi olla. Kyseessä on kuitenkin kielipuolue, jonka olemassaolon tarkoitus on edistää kieliryhmän etuja, usein muiden kustannuksella. Esimerkiksi katastrofaalinen sote-uudistus on osittain RKP:n aikaansaannos, jossa sote-alueet saatiin jenkkityyliin gerrymanderoitua niin että RKP sai paljon valtaa rannikkoseudulla, ja alueiden ruotsinkieliset palvelut turvattua keskushallinnon piikkiin. Ääni RKP:lle on ensisijaisesti ääni alue- ja kielieturyhmälle, eli jos ei niihin kuulu, ei kyseessä ole oikea vaihtoehto oikeistoliberaalille äänestäjälle.

Itse olen tällä vuosituhannella yrittänyt kantaa korteni kekoon liberaalin vaihtoehdon puolesta. Ensin Edistyspuolueen ja sitten Liberaalipuolueen äänestäjänä. Tulos on kuitenkin aika laihaa.
