  • Hunh, I was about to tell you how to turn off notifications. And saw that my notifications are on for this app. Settings Notifications App Store. And even with it on, I didn't see this notification. LoL, now I'm scared to turn it off. It's ok, I'll be strong.

  • Thank you for this. I'm in just this position. I would never spend money at Starbucks. And I would like to support the workers efforts to unionize. So I'll look into ways that I can do that, and to spread the word about Starbuck's insidious anti-worker corporatism.

  • It was gone. Sigh. Now it's back do do doodoo doodoo...

  • Keep questioning! For Science!

  • Are you saying if we eat the hardcore carnivores, the job is done, easy peasy?

  • I can't wait! There really was once a time, 2015 or so, when I barely even knew the name.

  • Justice delayed is justice denied. I'm glad the Judges are on board with that. And hey, #45, since you didn't do anything, and are obviously "not guilty", wouldn't you want to get this over as soon as possible?

  • scutum
    skyoo͞′təm
    noun

    1. A scute.
    2. A shield-shaped dorsal sclerite or plate of certain insects and arachnids.
    3. An oblong shield made of boards or wickerwork covered with leather, with sometimes an iron rim; carried chiefly by the heavy-armed infantry of the Roman army.

I'm assuming the third definition is the one we're after. But it could be an alligator scute, ya never know. (https://animals.howstuffworks.com/reptiles/alligator.htm). And having looked at scutes, I think a phone shaped like that would be all kinds of amusing!

  • I'd been using an iPod Touch 4G thru 7G, for my everything pocket computer. Apple killed the iPod Touch, so I migrated to iPhone 13 mini just over a year ago. Sorry folx, they prolly killed the 13 mini cuz of me. Any other Apple products you'd like me to latch onto, so Apple will kill it? :-(

  • There's something poetically appropriate about 279 hours, and this isn't a poetic moment. It a moment where a serious judge would call this treason, or sedition and sentence the convicted person as such. SMH Every single one of them, those that entered the capitol, those that planned for the attack and then let others carry it out, and those that have supported them all along in elected offices in congress and elsewhere should all be treated appropriately.

  • Yay Permies is wonderful! Such a great resource.

  • One of the Greats!! Rest In Power Sheldon! I'm always sending people to this site for bike related info. It's a gold mine of minutae.

  • I love solitary bees, and have been actively building habitat for them for over 20 years. I use Bee Binder Boards from Pollinator Paradise, and plant lots of native flowering plants. One time I was watching a Megachelidae bee, who had just come up from it's burrow. I waited to see what happened next. A short while later the bee returned with a rolled up piece of leaf held in it's rear 4 legs, and went into the burrow. And I said, Bingo! it's out gathering 'wall paper'!! :-D In my state there are around 3-400 species of solltary bees. And they are amazing pollinators. And cool to watch, as well.

  • Nice! I'll be right over. ;-)

  • My Mom had a Shag Bark Hickory, and that one tree was enormously productive. So much so that I was pricing shelling machines to make cracking them open easier. Super tasty!!!
