  • Sharkey, but Threads quotes show up in basic Misskey as well

  • Yea, they play fine, I use Misskey fork as my main instance, and it even supports quotes

Maybe your instance have defederated from them? Also the Fediverse sharing is opt-in in Threads, so like 95% or more Threads users haven't turned it on, cause they have no idea it exists

  • Because right now the Threads federation is still pretty one sided, the Fediverse users can reply to the Threads posts, but the Threads users can't see the Fediverse posts, only replies

And with how Lemmy works, you can't reply to the microblogging accounts, you can't reply to Mastodon's posts neither, so you can't get your replies federated

  • Note: You can't interact with Threads accounts from Lemmy, but you can interact with Threads accounts from MBin (and maybe PieFed), except if your instance is defederated from them obviously

There's POTUS account for example @potus@threads.net

  • @Linkerbaan@lemmy.world I just want to note that it's just a sensationalist headline with no proof, and all other articles say something else

Binance has firmly denied the claim that it seized funds from all Palestinian users. The exchange states that only a few accounts were restricted, specifically those linked to illegal activities. Binance stressed its commitment to following international sanctions and regulations, asserting that the restrictions were in line with legal requirements.

    But y'all don't care.

  • Yes, I am from MBin and I can confirm that it works fine for me

  • Yep, same with MBin, it doesn't support them neither

  • The end of Iotide

  • Well, maybe someone will make a Lemmy frontend in the style of Lotide or something similar

  • @Coelacanth@feddit.nu

What's the status on it/its forks? Does anyone use any of it, and have any recommendations?

I use Sharkey instance as my main and it's pretty good, it's stays upstream with Misskey (Like Glitch-don stays upstream with Mastodon), so I feel like there's a smaller chance of it being abandoned

    @otter@lemmy.ca

  • I use MBin and it works pretty much as you described, it has upvote (similar to Mastodon like) and boost (similar to Mastodon repost)

Both upvotes and boosts are public on Mbin, but downvotes aren't (to prevent harassment)

  • @Jezebelley@fedia.io Tankies and Far left mostly, I'm not American, so I also block a fair amount of America-centric communities, as I am just not a target of those

And memes, they're usually unfunny to me

  • @Blaze@sopuli.xyz A sad thing is, that even if MBin had account migration implemented, it wouldn't really help, as it just got down without a notice or a warning

  • "Truth social" has more monthly active users than all Lemmy instances combined, does it make it better?

  • True, it's also a soft fork of Misskey (meaning that they stay upstream), so as long as Misskey is alive Sharkey should be alive as well
