  • This is a dumb take imo. I work a salary job and I usually end up taking many extra "days off" per year by just working a couple hours, if that, and ducking out for a doctors visits or other errands. I also just call it a day a few hours early on occasion, when I'm feeling done. It all adds up.

If I'm minority sick, I'll absolutely just sit here and be unproductive on my computer as I peruse my phone, chat with friends, and wiggle the mouse between emails. Take advantage of the system as much as you can, because you know they are too.

I don't know what to tell people who clock in and out, or who are closely monitored for work hours tbh. I wouldn't work one of those jobs, and if I ever found myself in one, I would be searching for a new job tirelessly which I felt respected my efforts and my contributions.

  • 350 million people in the US and none of them are talented enough for this guy. The government had 350 million chances to educate and professionalize, and here we are outsourcing to India because Musk isn't happy with the current crop.

    Lmao

  • Well of course I'd do a chargeback to McDonald's, lmao. Are you supporting McDonald's getting free money for messed up food? You're ridiculous. I absolutely will charge back a McDonald's or any other business that messes something up and won't make it right.

Your comment is the opposite of a "gotcha" you creepy freak

2nd edit: i think other people should do chargebacks too instead of letting shitty corporate policies rob them of their hard-earned money.

  • Bruh, it's so real. I made a comment that whenever I get messed up food at a restaurant, id rather just ask for a refund than ask for a replacement. Obviously there's a lot of nuance in this comment, but I had people taking all kinds of meanings from it. One guy told me I was a complete asshole and some other stuff, just because I'd rather have a refund at the McDonald's instead of asking the overworked, underpaid employees to remake my order as I sat in the drive-through, and so I wouldn't have to pull over and wait even longer.

People just want to be pissed off and angry.

  • For reals. I'm mid-30s and I only remember hearing about this when I was younger. I'd completely forgotten about it, and never would have asked for or suggested it happen.

Good job bringing it back to the forefront so misogynistic men can know of it and use it to torment a fresh, new generation of women.

If your partner jokes about having surgery done to you without your consent, just leave them--whether you're a man or a woman.

  • Not an expert, but an enthusiast. The universe can typically be considered homogeneous and isotropic on a large scale (it looks the same in all areas, and also looks similar no matter which direction you happen to be looking) for the sake of understanding and performing physical calculations. The beach may also be considered homogeneous and isototropic, but we know that if we dig down, we'll find interesting materials, organisms, and even various grades of sand (for context).

The universe is roughly symmetrical even though there are structures and features of great complexity when you look close enough (such as atoms, you, me, horses, and icebergs). This is probably because the universe originated from a single infinitely dense point where there wasn't room for much diversity or clumping of matter. As the universe expanded, random quantum fluctuations and coalescence, perhaps due to gravity and the various electrical and atomic forces, is to thank for the formation of elements, stars, and galaxies, over the last 14 billion years (or however old the Universe is supposed to be).

Anyways. It's represented as symmetrical because it's convenient and true on a large scale, but its always more complicated the deeper you look.

  • Well, I just saw a news article today about how Trump was immediately going to kick every trans person out of the military. Also been seeing articles for years now about Republicans trying to ban sexual realignment surgery even for adults. So what more proof do we need that there's a problem?
