  • Just a heads up, if you want that to be more readable, put it in between two sets of 3 backticks ():

    System:
      Kernel: 6.8.0-53-generic arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 13.3.0
Desktop: Cinnamon v: 6.4.6 tk: GTK v: 3.24.41 wm: Muffin dm: LightDM
Distro: Linux Mint 22.1 Xia base: Ubuntu 24.04 noble

  • I wonder if this has anything to do with Intel's big snafu with gen 13/14 processors. If the solution was to push a microcode update cuts the voltage to the CPUs, it's basically a "stealth" nerf. Their spin doctors have been working overtime to frame this as erroneously high voltages that were being "fixed".

I'd really like to see this graph divided between Intel and AMD.

  • Let's be real, they never had an open source mission to begin with, they just wanted to market themselves as the good guy while they slurp up market share. Basically like google with "don't be evil".

But yeah, the Muskrat certainly doesn't have any good intentions either.

  • Not to mention that the jobs that might actually be available are probably hard manual labour. The average homeless woman is not going to have the same level of physical strength, so will likely have less opportunities and less ability to defend herself in an often violent environment.

  • Acute drug toxicity was the leading cause of death in the first half of last year for just over half of all reported deaths in people experiencing homelessness.

Unknown or pending explanations made up the second leading cause of death at 26 per cent, while diseases like cancer, chronic alcohol use, pneumonia, and others were listed as the reason for seven per cent of unhoused deaths in the city during that time frame.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that homeless women are even more vulnerable than homeless men. I think it's less likely to be a case of the state providing preferential treatment.

  • I usually dislike this sort of editorialising, but you've pointed it out, and I can't say I disagree.

    people detained in tented camps

If we're calling the "tented camps" at Guantanamo concentration camps, then these definitely qualify as well.

The legacy media's failure to call Nazi salutes and concentration camps what they are is irresponsible and dangerous.

The only thing you could further do is mention that you've editorialised the title in the title itself by tagging it.

  • Coming across this post in eternity threw my brain for a loop. I clicked the comment link in the picture and couldn't figure out why I was half in my feed, and half in this comment section for a hot second.

  • I'd imagine services like these have backups with fairly high levels of resiliency. Just having write access isn't sufficient. You'd probably have to physically go to the off site backup premises.

Even then, you might need a court order to seize equipment.

Any deletion or overwriting of the records is likely temporary, and reliant on the continued coup attempt.
