  • Absolutely. Almost no CEO would've had a security detail before now. Also, minimising costs is their lifeblood. They'll definitely be using this.

Your average paranoid Joe can't afford to hire some goons to hang around him. And the people on the board of investors don't need celebrity like CEOs do, so they're largely unknown to the public, so don't need this service.

  • It's literally being marketed to them...

    From the article:

Who is this for, you might ask? A video posted on January 6, 2025, that runs just over two minutes gives the game away. It opens with a photo of assassinated UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. “We’re going to run through a scenario to demonstrate, where if a Protector had been present, crisis could have been averted,” the Protector says in the video. He then runs through several fantasy versions of the assassination where a Protector is on hand to prevent the assassin from killing the CEO.

    Also,

This is for people with more money than sense who are also paranoid as fuck.

    You've just described CEOs.

  • By "in our pockets" yes, it might go to some Americans, but you're largely talking about taking it out of the taxes of all Americans and giving it to the 0.1%.

Those American weapons manufacturers and their inverstors are already beyond incredibly wealthy.

  • I had to verify that this is a real story because of how batshit insane it is, and, well, yes, apparently it is. :(

The married, 27-year-old Collins Avenue condominium owner gave “plumber” as his occupation to arresting officers

Not only is he a racist asshole, and murderous asshole, but he's also a landlord, hence, triple asshole.

The only saving grace here was this chucklefuck was as bad at killing people as he is at basic common sense and decency. The guy is literally a storm trooper.

  • Did it? I think if it flips before landing, it's not very likely to walk away from that.

In the thread on the site that shall not be named, people were speculating that it touched down, skidded off the runway due to the high winds, one wing caught the ground, sheared off, then it rolled over.

Seems plausible to me, but I know next to nothing about aviation, so take my opinion with a large pinch of salt.

  • "Due to actions taken by CBC, our company's reputation has been severely impacted, making it financially impossible for us to continue operations,"

Yes, it's the CBC's fault for saying what you did, not your fault for doing what you did. OK...
