  • Trump ordered the list destroyed in exchange for the global elites' cooperation with his tariffs set to start August 1st and if he got his "Big Beautiful Bill" passed.

The bill was supposed to be a gesture of good will with the massive tax breaks for the rich at our cost. Because he set July 4th as Congress' deadline, it would go: "Big Beautiful Bill" July 4th -> Epstein Papers destroyed a week later -> Tariffs on Aug. 1st.

We all know Trump was on that list, but his administration knew the names of all others on the list and bargained for their cooperation with tariffs. Not something you'd read about in his shitty "The Art of The Deal"

  • Thanks for this! My friend has one and he says it's great as well.

  • It was 72 degrees wet bulb in my city a few days ago and I picked a cocktail with aloe vera, lychee, and other stuff bc I knew it would be more refreshing than something else

  • I use Musicbee and just followed a forum tutorial to install it on linux

  • There is software for all your uses on linux, but I would start by using those apps on your current setup to get used to the workflow.

Changing from windows to linux can be really tough but it can be made a lot easier if you are already using programs that work on linux before you switch.

  • iirc one of the biggest differences between Ubuntu and Linux Mint is the store that each distro uses.

This link describes it better than I ever could: https://linuxmint-user-guide.readthedocs.io/en/latest/snap.html

TLDR: There were backdoors and weird behind-the-curtains stuff going on with Ubuntu's store, so it was axed by the Mint team.

  • I have always used bottles for this and never had any problems.

  • Was helping a friend install Windows on his new PC this week and my god it was such an awful experience. Just looking at the start menu had me in tears.

  • You are absolutely right. My comment was more about preventing corporations from being able to fire workers arbitrarily when it becomes inconvenient for them.

In 2020, 23 million Americans were laid off with no warning and no option to find work when the pandemic hit. A person should be protected from that happening to them ever again in addition to the right to a livable wage and safe work conditions (i.e. the right to work).

  • South Africa opened the case against Israel's genocide in Gaza. This is an attempt to sow discredit towards South Africa.

  • Give people the right to work so corpos can't do this shit.

  • Idk, you lost me when you said Krita's UI is too challenging... wtf

  • Most distros will run games just about the same as any other. No point waiting for SteamOS like it's the golden egg.

    I use Mint btw.

  • Japan has outsourced a lot of manufacturing and labor to Vietnam as well. Considering Japan is one of the biggest economies currently, why are they not mentioned as another possible choice?
