Born and raised. I live just outside one of the major Metropolitan areas. But I spent Summers down in the southern Ozarks near the Tripoli mines when I was a kid. Know the Mennonites up north. About the only area I'm not very familiar with is down in the boot heel

That's definitely the most frustrating part about this. They will turn around and gleefully blame the victims of this. Rather than taking responsibility themselves.

I'm some 5ish years younger. You're not wrong. Typically if I watch anything political at all it's majority report with Sam Cedar. Rarely any of the highly politics involved younger millennials etc. I've seen Hasan, and while I think some of his stances are good. He has some major issues, and is way too obsessed with courting a specific demographic however. Leaving him a very unreliable narrator.

Vaush, what I know of him, has said some extremely stupid shit in the past. From what I've seen however, he just kind of doesn't give a fuck what others think about him. And he doesn't suck up to groups like Hasan seems to. When he's discussing a concept he tends to be pretty direct and academic about it. Not afraid to call out any groups deserving. Even though I don't always agree with him, typically I can respect the differences. Where I can't with others.

That's legitimately his only qualification for the job. That and being a brown nosing Yes Man.

He was actually a big get to start the show. But only agreed to do the two seasons. But I absolutely would have loved to see where the absurdism went. He had such a dry deadpan delivery that just made it everything he did funny.

Honestly I think the only way it could have been less transphobic was to actually have a trans woman play the role? The woman that played April was quite fetching. And seemed like a pretty fleshed out person and not just a punchline. It would have been just as easy to find some beefy guy to put in a dress with bad makeup. Make a complete bigoted caricature. But they didn't. Matt Berry's character was always the butt of the joke. And in totality in the end still missed her. Honestly short of having a trans actress portray the character it really was one of the most positive and Progressive portrayals ironically at the time. Though I'm sure that has more to do with the staff involved then it does lineham himself.

Only if nullification was not a possibility. Nullification sends a much stronger and important message. Namely we don't give a fuck if they're guilty or not. I really don't like jury duty. And would do plenty to get out of it. If I got called for this one. I would happily nullify it as hard as I could.

What's causing the rise in cases is actual diagnosis. For many generations. Theirs and mine included. Either you were institutionalized. Or you were undiagnosed. People would just refer to you as Quirky or eccentric. There was no Spectrum to be on. It was treated as largely binary. Only in the last 40 years at the earliest did they start to fully understand the condition. And even now they still have a long way to go. But they've at least started recognizing the larger condition.

Thinking that the rise in diagnoses at this point is some sort of crisis/pandemic or Healthcare emergency that needs to be addressed. Is like blaming the Exterminator coming out and finding your house is filled with termites. It wasn't filled with termites before they came just a few odd little ones that you saw skittering about on the surface. All these other ones must have been brought by them or someone else right? It's not like they could have been there all along and we just didn't notice?

And you are right about the fact that Trump won't care in the least. That is undeniably true. And not at all the point of such a boycott.
