The exchange, part of a June 2 sit-down with Fox & Friends, was cut from the original TV broadcast but later reappeared in full on Will Cain's Fox News radio show.
But the article is talking about what was aired, and now you're moving the goal posts requiring me to hunt around their website.
It's fine, I don't want to really defend them as they've done plenty to defend trump. But to talk down to me with the "what don't you get?" When you're just floundering all over the place, talking about things the article is not about, seems quite misplaced.
The ideal of libertarianism is that it's better for the individual. It's naive and require rejecting pretty much all evidence, but the idea that they want the power to be consolidated in private companies inherently requires ignoring the ideals.
Its just like people who support Communism. It's good I'm theory but you have to really reject reality to convince yourself that it could actually work and doesn't just end up in an oligarchy or other such consolidated power system.
True. I should have been more clear and said voting population. I think the population in the south exceeded the north if you count slaves, which is why they only counted 3/5ths.
Except the scotus recently ruled that electors have to abide by the laws of the state that require them to vote a certain way, so the idea that they are free to vote as they wish is gone.
And part of the reason why it was implemented is that the population in the north was way bigger than the south, and so they were trying to make it more even where southern States would have more representation, so in a way it was meant to "protect red states."
My wife had a very stressful and demanding job that paid well. I sacrificed my career advancement so she could pursue this dream. After a few years she burned out, was miserable, and wanted to quit to find a new job. However this came with a huge pay cut too which made the decision more difficult and I was (hopefully understandably) frustrated because I had made all of these sacrifices so she could follow her dream.
But I wanted her to be happy so we figured it out.
Moral of this story? Since then I've learned how much truth there is to the "happy wife, happy life" idiom.
But in this moment, let’s focus on standing behind the women who are survivors and show them our support.
This should be directed at the person waving the sign, not at the people pointing out the blatant misandry of it. She is the one making it about about the aggressors, while at the same time pissing on some victims.
This doesn't quite work. In fact, I think it's the opposite.
The way I heard it described, which really drove the point home, was that imagine you are at a table and the food is being passed around. Every time it gets to you, the food is passed right past you. Everyone has a full plate except you. You say "hey, I deserve my fair share!" and then some jamoke says "we all deserve our fair share." It's missing the point, because you currently aren't getting your fair share, and your unique plight is being ignored.
The sign in the case here is diminishing the fact that there are victims of females. They aren't saying "women are unique victims" here, they are saying "men are unique perpetrators."
Without the sign, this conversation doesn't happen. You should be on the side of everyone else here and should be saying "hey, keep your misandry to yourself, this is about female victims" but instead you're arguing "we should just let blatant misandry slide right now because we are talking about a female victim of a man." It would be like (as I said in another post) letting blatant racism in a protest slide because the perpetrator was black and the victim was white.
If this were about a gang of black people committing some crime, and as a protest someone was carrying a sign that said "not all black people, but always a black person" would you be telling people it's "not the time" to point out the obvious and blatant racism?
As a result of not being smart enough to properly interpret some scientific research, a dumb person thinks they are smart because of their political beliefs. lol It's a great example of the Dunning-Kruger effect.
And socialism and communism are also dealing with limited resources and thus cutting cost is also something that will come up. It's not like communism unlocks unlimited resources.
Sure. But inflation is down, we didn't go into a recession, and wage growth has been outpacing inflation for over a year now.
This is good, we're going in the right direction. Deflation would be way worse.
