certainly social media can be addictive, for myself i've almost always been able to take on tasks as they come up and not procrastinate but that's just due to a hate of the feeling of having a task looming. that being said i know there's times i've mindlessly watched tiktok for hours instead of engaging in more productive, meaningful forms of entertainment.
For me, university literally made me depressed. But I also met my partner online during that time. I enjoyed studying but this myth that college is the time when you'll meet loads of friends, have tons of sex and wild parties, etc. Is very, very harmful
sex work is real, valid, and good work. that being said the juxtaposition of advertising the onlyfans next to one of those stick figure families is what gets me.
trains are the best mode of transportation to me. i don't know how to drive and have no desire to learn. it's stressful, expensive, and time-consuming to learn. trains in my area are regular enough and even if you can't get a seat then you'll get to your destination quick enough that it's not an issue. you don't have to worry about traffic or really doing anything once you're onboard. i understand that some people need to drive but honestly don't know why anyone would enjoy it.
that's the fun part! the only relics of the old internet are things like the ice chewing forums, although federated social media brings a little of that back.
lovely silent hill vibes
