i personally have a firefish account but it hasn't really 'clicked' for me. i don't follow a whole ton of people so my personal feed is pretty slow. i've had a couple of meaningful interactions but on there and before the latest elon meltdown i was aware of some interesting ARGs/spooky threads on the birdsite but otherwise i don't really vibe with microblogging.

i was made aware of spacehey recently and i adore any social media with that level of customization but my issue is that i really don't have anything to blog about. maybe i need to lead a more exciting life? lol

God, I miss physical keys on phones so much. I currently use a z flip 4 but if it was more like an old style flip phone with a keypad on the bottom I'd be so happy.

in fairness the directions on the back of the tube still state you should use a pea sized amount. i feel like that's not all that helpful though, peas come in lots of different sizes.

imo the purpose of those cheesy lines is more to break the ice and get your prospective partner to laugh and loosen up rather than to swoon them, sounds like it worked to me.

personally i'd find a smaller one just for the sake of stability. there's a few fandom themed ones that are cool, plus you can subscribe to communities hosted on other instances no problem

i also wish the 'show read posts' was a little less picky. personally i'd like it to only work on the main feed but not when i'm browsing specific communities or someone's profile.

aldi has a knockoff version of reese's puffs that are fantastic, extra good for me since i can't get the branded kind in my country all too often.

personally i'm more comfortable with the UI and features of discord, plus i'm not too familiar with what the issues with privacy it has. could be that the mods here feel the same way, or that there would be a larger userbase on discord
