This to me reads that you have a serious self control issue. If you need to use therapy to limit your gambling, you’ve fucked up. Learn and practice some self control. You don’t need therapy, you don't need to stop gambling or cut off ties with your dealer, just stop doing it. This is like needing to have your parents tell you to do your homework or something. You are in control of your life. You will feel much more empowered if you do it yourself.

What's your alternative? Been meaning to use Lemmy less, but since I started using social media in place of idling/skin picking/bad thoughts when I don't have the energy to do anything else, that's what I return to when I put my phone down. (I have adhd)

Are drunk driving laws just not that strict in the US? Iirc you lose about 0.01%BAC per hour. One beer will give you like 0.05%*, which is also the upper limit of blood alcohol where I live. If you have a second beer, that means it'd take like 5 hours until you're able to drive again. Are baseball games this long?

It sounds like you have a doctor. Do what they say. I assumed it was enough to take one every week bc it had 1000% the daily recommended dose but I still became deficient. My doctor worked with me to remedy that.

Doesn't really matter either way. It's none of our business, their body isn't harming anyone else. Criticize the things they actually do wrong, never their body.

I'm not saying this because I have any compassion for Musk. I just think we should get past body shaming, and that won't work unless we make it so body shaming is NEVER ok.

All cops perpetuate the states monopoly on violence. Their primary purpose is also usually to uphold the interests of capital. I mean, just look at pro Palestine demonstrations in Europe. Depending on who you ask, that's pretty bad.

That doesn't mean that everyone becomes a cop for nefarious reasons though.

It'd be nice to have variety to choose from so you can suit your needs. But I guess fulfilling everyone's needs isn't profitable.
