Fascism is alive and well in the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church

Actually, when I taught at a high school in Mississauga, I could name students who had each immigrated from one of over 140 countries. Does that count?
Because it would have been the THIRD "Great War'.
By the time the second period came around, everyone agreed this was a continuation of the 1914-18 war, not a new war.
I am not debating that the 1914-18 war was called a 'World War' while it was ongoing, my point is that it never had the label capital 'F' 'First' added to it, or 'World War One', until the second period started.
The 'Chronicles of Riddick' franchise was not called 'Chronicles...' or any reference to Riddick' as the main character until the second film came out. No one actually expected a sequel until well after the first iteration was released. Absolutely no one planned for a second Riddick movie while the first was being shot. They were worried about Pitch Black even breaking even.
Same with the nomenclature of the 1914-18 war.
You can't have a war without having 'war crimes'. Even n organized sports, they have referees and penalties for disobeying the rules.
No, it's just narcissism. Nothing special about his actions, they are all classic narcissistic behaviors.
That's why it was called a 'World War'.
Your complete ignorance about what is happening in China is appalling. It also smells of racism.
My reply was not meant to contradict what you said, only to clarify the term 'stupid'. It is quite correct to call Jordan 'stupid' without reference to his intelligence. Trump is, in fact; reasonably intelligent in a narcissistic way, but I also do not think he can be called 'stupid' for what he is doing, in the sense that he has every intention of causing the chaos he is, the chaos is 'good results' as far as he is concerned. It is not 'unintended consequences' on his part, it is not any lack of understanding on his part, it is deliberate and expected results. After all, he took many of his companies bankrupt as a legitimate business move, to stop the bleeding. On the other hand, the people who FOLLOW him CAN be considered 'stupid' under the definition.
That is, it is not reasonable to label Trump as stupid for doing what he is doing in order to achieve his objectives, but it is stupid to go along with it. It is perhaps stupid for people to not realize what Trump's real objectives are. It is reasonable to label most of the Americans who voted for him as stupid (except those who actually agree with the 2025 Manifesto objectives). But given what Trump's objectives are, it is quite reasonable and rational to expect him to do what he is doing.
Also to expound on the difference between 'fascism' and small 'c' 'conservative' vs capital 'C' Conservative.
There is a very big difference between calling it the 'first' (lower case 'f' and the 'First' (upper case 'F' World War. The lower case 'f' implies that it was the first war to be fought on a world canvas. (However, it was far from being the first such war. The American Revolution was, in fact, just part of a bigger global world war. ) The upper case 'F' implies it will be part of a series, and is thus part of the name. The correct quote has the 'f' as lower case, not the upper case as you altered it to be. This is evident in the context of the quote. He was looking for a unique name for the war, and that unique name was 'World War', or 'The Wold War'. It was the first war to be called that, making it a unique name, in his perspective. He was pretty sure there would be another war, but to be unique it would certainly not be called The World War, or even the Second World War. Otherwise The Second Great War would have been an acceptable name.
I read a LOT about History, and it seems that the history YOU are reading is 'Alternate Historical Fiction', not good sold History. It is not 'trying to give the other side of the story', it is pure anti-Chinese racism. They are not counter-arguments at all, they are pure racist propaganda talking points. Not a word you said has any basis in the factual historic record.
China is doing exactly what it needs to raise its people out of poverty, allowing them to take their proper place in the world order. Nothing to do with greed. There is EVERY justification for China to do what it is doing, there is NO justification except pure racism to try to prevent China from doing it.
Apparently Trump has made it official - he thinks he will be the next Pope.
Unfortunately, you will be celebrating too soon. Vance is far more fascist-oriented than Trump will ever be.
"Stupid" is deliberately doing what you should KNOW is counter to good results. It has nothing to do with intelligence. The winners of the Darwin Awards usually do not lack intelligence, they are just stupid (or at least just do stupid things).
Being very conservative with your money, handling it in a conservative manner, running a business conservatively, has nothing to do with fascism. THAT is the problem we are currently facing - the blunt fact that fascism is not the same as being conservative (small 'c'), but that the Conservatives (capital 'C') are also becoming fascist along with being conservative. Two entirely different things.
Diefenbaker could NEVER, in any intelligent discussion, be labeled as a 'fascist'. He was in many ways very socially responsible.
Carney, although he is the leader of the Liberal party, will methinks turnout to be conservative in his economic policies, just like Turner was.
Stupid is stupid, no matter what country you are from. There will always be people who prefer ignorance to education, in any country. The trick is to deal with them efficiently and effectively. "Just watch me."
Actually, it was the Canadian soldiers that marched through Italy; the Canadian soldiers that marched north to Denmark and protected the American flank; the Canadian landing at Juno beach which not only protected the American flank, but pushed further and faster, greeting the American troops as they finally pushed off of their beachhead; the Canadian top command that developed the more efficient ways of fighting a modern battle, especially the results learned from the essentially Canadian Dieppe raid (which WAS successful, the Canadians got off the beach and made it to the post office for what they went for); the Canadian scientists that worked on the development of the Atomic bomb long before the Manhattan Project, and went on to establish Chalk River; the Canadian merchant marine that kept Britain supplied during the war... the list goes on and on. You do not need to be a tankie, just a good student of Canadian history.
Unfortunately for our Canadian legacy, we do not brag.
BM has been VERY good to Canada. Way back in the 'old days' of technology, they provided University of Waterloo with a free mainframe computer in gratitude for the work the Computer Science department was doing for software development for IBM mainframes, and the close association has continued. IBM would not even be close to what it is without the graduates from University of Waterloo Engineering and Computer Science.
Some might even go as far as saying that IBM is American in formality only. Most of the heavy lifting is done in Canada. The Quebec chip plant is the largest chip assembly plant IBM has in the entire world.
The benefit to Canada> Jobs, obs, jobs. High tech, high paying jobs. And the brain power of Canadian trained graduates stays in Canada.
Plus, since any sales from products Made in Canada are not subject to the Trump export taxes. it will be cheaper for the world to buy assembled chips from Canada than America.
IBM is, and always has been, a good loyal partner to Canada.
The worst mistake IBM ever made was to sign the agreement with Bill Gates over the development of DOS, instead of going with the actual creators of DOS. But then again, when they signed the deal. IBM had projected that, in their wildest conjecture, they would sell AT MOST 250,000 PC's. Then along came Visicalc and turned the computer world upside down. Visicalc made the PC a business tool necessity. That and Wordstar.

The irony is that America is more likely to split up into at least two and probably more countries before any territory a added to the existing boundaries. I give America les than three decades before it splits up.
Wow. What mythological fiction book did you read that in, or is it a direct product of your own mind?
Every bt of it sounds exactly like the kind of China-bashing propaganda that the Roman Catholic (empire) Church spreads.
Did you know that Amnesty International was founded by a devout Catholic, and the purpose was to promote Catholic propaganda as 'an independent voice'? Everything that Amnesty International says about China is vetted by the pope.
Brookfield has extensive holdings in the Chinese economy. Many established when Carney was at the helm. Carney is definitely not anti-China when investments are considered. However, Carney is of his own admission devout Catholic, and it will remain to be seen if the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church's antipathy and cultural prejudices against the Chinese influence his political decisions.
The entire mess between the Western world and China goes all the way back to when the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church and the Pope in Rome (Roman Emperor) forbade the Chinese to honor their ancestors, in the 17'th century (Qing Dynasty). The Jesuits made good infiltration into the Chinese culture, traveling along the Silk Road, in the early 17'th century, bringing knowledge and scientific discovery to the Chinese. Since the Jesuits predominantly focused on God Himself as a universal deity (not the Pope) there was some acceptance by the Chinese peoples to this socialist religion full of compassion, humility, and humanity. On the other hand, when the Pope and the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church got involved, everything switched from worship of God to fielty to the Pope. , The Pope insisted that the only venue for a Catholic, and thus 'the people', to seek solace, comfort, moral guidance, and forgiveness was through him (the Pope). The Chinese had a many-thousand-year tradition of seeking moral guidance, comfort, and personal direction from their ancestors. This fit in well with the Jesuit teachings, but was antithetical to the Pope's need for personal power and domination. There could only be one master over the soul, and that was the Pope. Therefore, the Pope forbade this practice. The Chinese were not to honor their ancestors, but were to honor the Pope instead. Only through the Pope could there be salvation. Honoring one's ancestors was therefore heretical and blasphemy.
The Chinese, of course, were very resentful that a foreigner, living in a foreign land, who had absolutely no connection to Chinese culture, could tell the Chinese whom they could honor and in what fashion, and so in the 17'th century the Chinese peoples kicked the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church out of China.
Ever since, the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church has had it out for the Chinese. Not just China, but the Chinese themselves. It became a cultural/racial thing.
As a result of the Opium Wars, the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church re-established a toe-hold in China by virtue of conquest, only to be kicked out again in the 1950's, when the Chinese peoples firmly and thoroughly purged China of all foreign cultural and identity influences, and restored their traditional culture and identity. The problem was not Catholicism, and even Christianity itself, the problem was that the Pope insisted it be entirely controlled by himself, an outsider to China, a foreigner. The Chinese allowed the Catholic Church in China, as long as the entire leadership of the church were Chinese, living in China, respectful of the thousands-of-years cultural identity of the Chinese. It was to be a made-in-China Catholic religion, recognizing Chinese history and precedent.. After all, the Chinese cultural religious background and identify are at least twice as old as Christianity.
Most of the Western negative attitude towards China stems from the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church crusade against the Chinese for refusing to bow down to the dictates of the Roman Catholic (Emperor) Pope, and for the refusal of the Chinese peoples to accept the moral, ideological, and ethical authority of a foreign (non-Chinese) power.
To be clear, the definition of fascism in this context is: fascism
from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.
I consider that the Roman Catholic (Empire) Church operates as a 'nation empire', in the sense that it is a direct descendant of the Roman Empire, and still refuses to accept the terms of the Peace of Westphalia (which established our notion of 'Statehood vs empire'), and that 'racism' applies equally to the 'supremacy of a religion over all other religions'.
