I store everything that I pull, my aim is to be a Netflix replacement for my family. Just have whatever you want to watch at the snap of your fingers or doom scroll until you find something.
How I get more content? Easy, I don’t. I have a telegram bot that my user can request additional content from. Usually my users have good taste so I just watch whatever they pull.
I have my 22 port opened on IPv6 only and I can only authenticate with my private keys, which are all added in .ssh/authorized_keys. Fail2ban is configured to keep the bots out but the ban log is empty because there are either no bots operating on IPv6 yet or my IP is so far out of reach it will take the bot a millenium to get to my address.
Some set up WireGuard or another VPN protocol but I like having everything within reach as long as the device I'm carrying has my key on it.
One thing you should avoid is opening your docker containers to the web. If your VPS isn't behind a NAT (they usually aren't) becareful when binding ports which usually bypasses whatever firewall configuration you may have because docker writes it's changes directly to nftables.
Other then that, remember that this is just a hobby (for now) and take a break when something doesn't work or you don't understand it. I personally did a lot of mistakes because I was just eager to finish something and I was rushing it.
I assume Crackpipe was a wordplay on being an alternative to Steam but the connotations that come with it.. not surprised the dev changed the project’s name
I personally switch between IceCat and LibreWolf occasionally which I believe will cut out this feature, but if Chrome implements this feature, expect Firefox to follow suit within a couple of months once usage ramps up on platforms like Nflx etc
I will not back down, as the fight for a free internet is important to me, but it is not important to Firefox, before everything else, Firefox wants higher userbase to earn more money.
Unfortunately, you don’t have much of a choice. If a lot of websites start using this implementation, Firefox will have no choice but to implement this, otherwise a lot of websites will be broken.
Something tells me you’re keylogged if you keep cancelling, ordering new ones and getting pwned within days of the new card arriving. Format your computers. Use more open source tools whose code you can audit. Firefox instead of Chrome, no sketchy extensions like Honey and cash back stuff. If you pirate stuff, try to do it from verified sources.
I can understand why they are doing this, the programming require to roll out a feature like this is minimal, so even if they barely profit from it, if at all, they didn't spend a lot of time on doing this feature, so, expect other platforms to soon follow.
